Hi Joshua! I am currently a student at ESCP and I have recently got an offer for an internship in France! I must say, you and all your other fellow CZcamsrs have definitely motivated me to make this move to France, and it is honestly everything you say it is! I really like the French culture, and I love the language! Im currently a B2 (nearing C1) and I also learnt French right from my high school in India to my bachelors, which was about 6 years in total! I just warted to say thanks a lot for all you do!!

After a lot of soul searching, I've decided that I'd love to go to France for my studies. Not necessarily live there but to study there. I'm beginning to learn French. Having learnt Spanish and fluency in English it's not the most difficult language but pronunciation seems it needs some time getting used to it. Voila.

Working out, solitude, and cooking eating on my own- are all things that are part of my daily life.
But not all "western" societies or even south asian societies allow for this lifestyle in today's time, especially with consumerism culture.
As a PhD student, it can be tough juggling work and research, but I wake up at 5 am for my workouts and that makes the rest of my day much easier.

@@JoshuaBalata Indeed! Just a small request Joshua. Since you also speak Urdu and French- could you please make a short video for Urdu speakers like myself about making logic and meaning by using Urdu--> French rather than English--> French as a translation tool in our heads. It's easier to understand French from an Urdu point of view than English, I realised this during my first year of study. Also, love your videos and growth.

I noticed that there more and more indian expats in french cities. Up until the pandemic they were very rare. I'm happy to understand why it is a country of choice for your kinsmen because I thought that indians only emigrated to english speaking countries. Your food look tasty btw!

How about being 'content' instead of 'happy' about your life in France? As in the words of an American woman living in France who did a CZcams video on a question people often ask her, "Are you happy in France? She said that being happy can be just a moment in a day whereas being content is more lasting.
In France, you can have those moments you described for yourself. You don't have to prove anything, that you are the best (that's so American!), you can stop read a book, go to theatre, a museum, cook, go to the open market, walk along the River Seine, etc. Life is not about shopping, buying, consuming even though life in France has caught up with the Joneses but there is still a bit of the slow pace and holding back.
Have you visited around Paris and some regions of France?

Paris is not a french city anymore and people there go to the countryside mocking local people as dumb. Trust me or not, these people built Paris and ran away from you.
