  • Montaña de la Muda (689m), like its neighbouring Tindaya mountain was a magical-religious center where the pre-Hispanic Mahos performed rituals and burials. It is an archaeological complex of exceptional interest comprising a settlement nucleus, ceremonial centre and burials in both cists and natural caves. The climb is steep. It passes several ancient springs and wells. From the summit the West, North and East coasts of Fuerteventural and the Mountains of Lanzarote can be seen. On exceptionally clear days both Teneriffe (Mount Teide) and Gran Canaria are visible.
This video was filmed with a DJI Mini 2 Drone. The accompanying music (Mountain of the Dead) was composed, performed and recorded by Looking for Rita with a Native American Flute (in F#m) and bodhran.
