- For a change, we only had to travel half a mile to visit something interesting (well for me anyway). It was much better than I thought it would be as some years ago we went to a car show elsewhere in Fuerteventura that had just two cars on display.
There were some really great cars on show, my particular favourite being the Ford Prefect which must have been around 70 years old. Not the oldest car at the car show but one with particular memories for me.

Although I am no pettohead that was terrific. Just so enjoyable looking at cars from my youth.Loved driving my Dad's mini club man.Faster than anything over the first 10 yards.

The Austin A35 is the first car I remember my Dad driving when I was a nipper. If I was in the front seat (no seat belt, of course), he'd sometimes let me work the centrally mounted indicator control. I saw a 1982 black Saab 900, an old favourite of mine, a few years ago in Fuerteventura and hoped it may have been at the show, but didn't see it. I saw a red Fiat 127, though. A yellow one was my first ever car and then I think I saw yellow one too. Thanks for the video, JP. Nostalgia ain't what it used to be!
Believe it or not, James Hunt's last car was an A35 van that he used to transport his budgies in. The first car my Dad had was an Austin 7 that broke down on the way to Brighton one year and that was the last time we saw it.
Thanks for the video you must have been in your element love the colour of the moggie! The ford looks immaculate l will send you a photo of an old ford left to rust in a hillside in Betancuria taken appx20 years ago!( thats if l work out how to send it) 😆

Hi J.P. thanks for the video. Brings back memories. Love classic cars that morris minor would love to have a sniff inside can't beat that classic car smell to bring the memories flooding back

Nice to see a honda cbx 1000 and a yamaha rd 350 power valve , nice bikes , would have liked a cbx but they were out of my price range but i had a power valve which i bought for the right price
You are speaking a foreign language to me Paul ;-) I did go on the back of a friend's Fireblade once and could see why he loved bikes.

I liked the motorbikes the best John if i had the time i could tell you everyone. Saw Sue in a game show in the UK a couple of years ago.
Which show? She was on The Chase, she won 15 to 1 and her best was winning 14 grand on the Weakest Link.

Great vlog JP really enjoyed that. My first car in 1981/82 was a red Mini City 900cc 9 months old and paid £2790 Irish punts, that car could tell a few stories. Take care 👍

When i passed my test I talked my dad into a farm pickup and he got a mini pickup,it was great,they should bring back the morris minor with modern underpinnings it would be really cool,no mk1 ford escorts at the show,they are probably still doing rallies,good vlog jp keep smiling
I agree with you re Porsche JP ! Just like driving a powerful Beetle, My brother built a Caterham, first time out at Brands Hatch, Graham hill bend the oil surged in the sump and run the big ends ! ☹ He then bought a sump with a baffle plate to stop it happening again. My first car an A35, paid £5 plus an extra pound for the radio. I will take the CBX 6 cylinder Honda motorbike ! 😜 Cooper S's make an absolute fortune these days ! Especially the MK 1.

Hi JP great video on the subject do you know any good welders in the area I have a friend desperately trying to find a welder not far from you ,for sills etc,your local knowledge might help even if you could do a shout on your blog . Cheers ZH

As is typical, sadly, almost nowhere Phil. I saw a poster in my barber's shop in Lajares a few days before and that was the only thing I saw - and I only live 800m from the church square!

Yes, almost the same. I think the Popular was 2 door and the Prefect 4 door.

"Best" is very much a matter of opinion. We like the Return Bar (just past the roundabout towards Corralejo) and the Canela (but that's not so little).
