    Really looking forward to Nemour and several others on bars, in Paris. I think this could be an incredible bars competition and perhaps one of the more stacked fields in a long time.

    So cool to watch this type of progress! It will be interesting to see how she does in Paris. I'd love to see something like this for MAG too.
    I think it would be really neat to see this over a larger period of time too, like Mustafina's bars from her first world champs to last, or Raisman's beam and floor between 2010 to 2016.
    Great video!! 🎉

    I’ve seen Viktoria Listunova using that same back-handspring technique. I didn’t realize that it’s basically a whip back, while also putting your hands down. It’s not incorrect, just a different technique, right?

    • @OLYMPIANTEACHES-bh6gp
      @OLYMPIANTEACHES-bh6gp  Před 2 měsíci +2

      Yes, not incorrect, just different. It works very well for some gymnasts to do the high back handspring but I do believe the longer - more like a pole vault - is regarded as more ideal. I would still teach the long back handspring teck as I think its idea but it is interesting how some find a way to do it different sometimes and it works very well for them. thanks and all my best

    Is Simone’s tumbling technique better, or just better for her body type? I noticed the men did kayilas type of technique

    • @OLYMPIANTEACHES-bh6gp
      @OLYMPIANTEACHES-bh6gp  Před 2 měsíci +3

      Thank you for your question There are many men that do very long back handsprings also. Maybe check out Gregory misting from Russia. He was a formal world champion and had a very long snap down like Simone at the end of her back handspring and a great tumbler,. It’s difficult to say, which is better but most people would say Simone technique, is better, more ideal, and most often taught. I have seen that for triple backs specifically, a high back handspring is used more often. Not all the time, but more often. In principal, we want to be like a pole vaulter running across the ground as fast as we can. A long back handspring moves across the ground faster, so there’s potentially more power. In a high back handspring, the feet come down much faster and with good timing of arm throw and chest lift with that snap down, it can also be effective. I wish I had a perfect answer, but this is just the way I see it. Thanks again and all my best.
