Testify to the Truth, every soul has a free will especially with an average intellectual.
It's important to witness to Christ so that He does not deny you, people may think you are arguing but you are called to witness.
One however needs to know when to stop.

I sincerely believe the future is pro-life. I’m not even Catholic, but I will applaud Catholics for being at the forefront of this issue. Several decades from now, I hope people will shudder with horror when they look back on the fifty years of unrestricted abortion in this country. I hope that even the most ardent abortion supporters will get down on their knees and beg for forgiveness. It might sound like a dream, but without dreamers, justice would be a meaningless word.

That is so sweet, she actually took the card... I actually teared up here. Such an open and vulnerable exchange in a potentially scary situation. It is perfectly possible to be gentle with others while also having conviction and speaking the truth. That is the Christian calling! That Fulton Sheen quote about winning the arguement but losing their soul is too good. Let go of your pride and meet them on their level! How will they possibly be convinced if they can't relate to you or anything you're saying?
Harold is an amazing steward and evangelist! May God bless him and I'll be praying for that girl and her friends! I hope she actually used that card and looked into Christianity and that the Spirit works in her!

A few weeks ago we had a huge protest in favour of abortion. It was a hot, busy, angry day. I usually take a short break that I simply was not going to get that day.
I went out to the knot of protestors in front of the courthouse. Went about as well as you would expect, and I almost left... until a lady named Sarah and a gay philosophy professor, Cody, pulled me aside. We talked to understand each other more. For half an hour. While the other protestors did their thing.

This is a better story to demonstrate "planting a seed" than most that I hear. I've heard people tell me of situations they were in, and the other person remained angry, and it was the other person who ended the discussion. If a card had been handed to them, they would have thrown it away. And people in that situation so often think they at least planted a seed. But it's more like the seed on rocky ground, or no seed at all.
With good approaches to dialogue, we get more situations like the one in this video, where the person tones down the emotional response, is accepting of at least some form of information. That's a planted seed. They might act on it that same day. But even if they don't, they really took in what was said. They might keep that card for a year or two before using it, but odds are high that they will eventually look into it.
I wish more people would really plant seeds, rather than merely call every discussion that ends horribly a situation where, "at least I planted a seed". If their defenses remained up the whole time, the seed probably never made it into the ground. It's a point I've made to a few fellow pro-lifers as I really want them to understand the difference between getting someone angry and planting a seed. They are not even close to the same thing.

I used that same method when I was a leadership facilitator. I would get stubborn, self-righteous students who had adopted a hardened position and I would walk them through their own thought process until we arrived at a point where their logic either fell apart or ended up supporting the point I was making. I used to refer to it as the Jedi-mind-trick, getting people to reach a conclusion you want them to reach but in a way that makes it seem like it was their idea.
Sometimes it worked, sometimes it didn't, but every now and again I would have somebody take me off-line and admit they had never thought of it that way. I'm not skilled enough in apologetics to try it with scripture but the point the Deacon makes is universal. People will are more apt to buy into something if they think they arrived there on their own. I do plant little seeds with my friends who lack faith but mostly I try to be the light Christ talked about. I let Him do the heavy lifting because I'm not worthy.
    Great discussion.

If you can’t back up the notion that “extremely risky” and “heath condition” accurately describe pregnancy (which you can’t) then the terms are misleading. The next question is, who is supposed to be misled? You, or the people you’re speaking to? I doubt you’re just a political hack, so I’d guess you value and consume those terms as an intellectual sugar-coating. After all, facing the fact of the matter would obligate you to reconsider the popular position that you hold, which involves the risk of arriving at an unpopular one. Unless you’re genuinely ignorant, it’s up to you whether to double down on self-deception by rationalizing your original statement, or to learn something about yourself and your current political allies. Since people tend to care much more about comfort than reality, I assume you’ll double down.

With or without medical intervention, there will be bodily damage. I can't believe you actually needed me to qualify my description. So dumb.
