    I have a 2002 Shadow. When I bought it it had no toolkit so I got the factory kit which included the OEM spanner.
    THAT SAID, I didn’t know you adjusted the suspension via the left side reference: it seems more intuitive that the reference mark facing *up* (facing you as you adjust) is the proper spot when you remove the seats.
    And now that I said that, I went back and reference my Haynes manual: it says to remove the left side cover (I guess no seat removal) and insert the spanner from there, which makes your comments make sense now.
    I learned something today.

    Mine was on 7 and it feels ok, now I will lower it to 4 or 5 for improved comfort, thank you.

    Thank you for posting this, very helpful. I actually didn't know this was a concern, and I’m about to add a passenger, so it was very timely and informative.

    Thanks for the video! I just purchased a 2007 VLX 600 in December 2021. Any recommendations on what settings for what passenger weight?

      Hey, congratulations on your new bike. Depends on weight of passengers, the more weight the more preload number ( max 7). I would start with #5, if too bouncy then go up #6 or #7. Happy riding, honda shadow vlx is an awesome bike and bulletproof engine.

    Does changing the settings (1-7) change the ride height (raise / lower) of the motorcycle itself or just the amount of bounce?

    • @150SCOOTER
      @150SCOOTER  Před rokem

      Does change the height a little about an inch.

      But I recommend you get something else with better quality.
      Also, your bike does come with a spanner wrench inside the tool kit.

      Tks, mine didn't come with one. I just didn't want to buy one that didn't fit..If I knew the size I would buy a more quality tool.. Any idea what size tool it takes?

      @150SCOOTER  Před 2 lety +2

      @@carlmccoy3954 the spanner I got the open size is about 12mm but you can get those adjustable spanner wrench.

      @@150SCOOTER just received heavy duty spanner from amazon. It's over 9" long and works incredibly perfect. Removal of the seat not necessary with long handle. Only took seconds to adjust rear shock. it was under $9.

    Hola b. Día , con cuantas vueltas levanta 3:cm

    • @150SCOOTER

      Cuanto mayor sea el número, más alto se eleva el asiento, pero el viaje será difícil. 6 o 7 deberían darte unos 3 cm.
