- This is the Yuriko deck Jordan has been playing in some of our gameplay videos. It is yuriko but with lots of Ninjas. YES! It is ninja tribal in cEDH. Yuriko burn and kill. But yes ofc there is also Thassas oracle combo in the deck too. We are not that crazy. ... yet.

Nice, glad to see more tribal in cEDH. I actually made a video about Tribal decks in cEDH a few weeks ago and even mentioned Yuriko.
Kamigawa Neon Dynasty really gave her a boost and made this approach super viable.

And new card for Yuriko in Capenna, Shadow of Mortality. 15 cmc, and usually you can cast it for 2 mana for 7/7 dude. Sounds good for me.
This is interesting. I had considered ninja turns but not ninja tribal.

I used to pray that yuriko would be relevant in cedh some years ago, then oracle got printed and it really helped giving yuriko decklists a quick alternative win option, then finally neon dynasty! The additional ninjas were everything that any yuriko player would have dreamed of asking wotc. Now a ninja decklist isn’t something easily scoffed at. Sure there are still some holes to plug in and cards that could be better but at least for the time being the ninjas are more than enough to have a great selection of creatures worthy of cedh tables.
While I do have some doubts on some of the card choices from the featured list many of the other cards are now simply staples in every yuriko deck. As will be that new 15cmc creature that can be cast for as low as 2 black mana lol.
Cards I think that are too slow for a tempo control build:
Planeswalkers
Abjure (because you have to sac something - though ideally that would probably be yuriko)
Any ninja with a ninjutsu cost more than 3 - I’ve tried Nashi because it synergizes well with enter the infinite (assuming you have a vampiric tutor to put it on top at the right time) but over all high ninjutsu costs bogs the deck down more than it helps
I too have dropped remora as most non yuriko players do not realize how mana intensive the deck actually is because you’re constantly ninjitsuing something out (ideally)
Cover of darkness though is a third evasion card that must be in there imo alongside wonder and mr. Umezawa’s fugitive
I would also note emerakul is a poor choice. If your gonna run a walker use jace to double up on consult/tainted. The new 15 mana beater is bad. Run blinkmoth infusion its blue and pitches to your free spells and can be tutored to the top of the deck with mystical. I agree with cover and Umezawa(still dont get how hes not a ninja). Im not quite sold on wonder yet.

CUT:
1. Emrakul (There are strictly better top-end burn slots like Shadow of Mortality and Enter The Infinite)
2. Fallen Shinobi (way too overcosted for the effect)
3. Kaito (No room for fun cards in cEDH)
4. Ink-eyes (No room for fun cards in cEDH)
5. Varragoth (way too expensive for cEDH)
6. Cycrift (Yuriko has 7 mana in less than 5% of games)
ADD:
1. Crippling Fear (Card is crazy strong)
2. Nashi (crazy value, but is also a A+B Combo with either Vamp tutor, Mystical Tutor, lim-dul's vault, personal tutor, Imp Seal or scheming Symmetry)
3. Step Through (grabs thoracle, or worst case a 1 mana ninja or wingcrafter)
4. Street Wraith (ups natural burn damage, makes your deck 98 cards whilst everyone else is on 99, is also gravefilling for temp trespass)
5. Misdirection (Force of will when you go to make any combo attempt)
@Jordan: Its a good decklist but it seems like you're suffering from "I find this card fun so I'll add it". It sucks, but there's no room for fun/pet cards in cEDH.
@Mons: Yuriko has always been decent in cEDH ever since ThOracle's printing, its just that post NEO it became way more obvious.
I do not agree with Cycrift - its still 2 mana remuve blocker with option to remove all stax if needed. With new Tresure ninja - 7 mana is not a problem any more for this deck ;)
With this one mana changeling yuriko slaps
Moon sircuit hacker is an enchanment as well, so he has some.

@@cedhtv anything with a casual flavor is a win for me. Also Yuriko is one of my favorite commanders, you just smash and dome the table for 16 by vamp tutoring a draco lol

On moxfield the artwork for yuriko is different. I've looked it up and cant find it, where did you get that?
Look at scryfall.com there you can find a lot of different arts for cards.

Attack Varragoth, boast, tutor Emrakul or wincon, ninjitsu Nashi, cast tutored card for free.
I personally use Enter the Infinite instead of Emrakul for this combo
…and Silver Fur Master and Tetsuko is an odd combination.
Anyway, still love the list overall👌

I have viewed that it is better for the late and mid game overall. When the game is stalled out. Pretty solid to just draw a card consistently every turn
@@GeorgielPSN 1UB for an unblockable ninja. Reminds me of shadowmage infiltrator with yuriko in play. Only it also burns your opponents. And you cantrip with the +1 the turn after playing Kaito, since when he's phased out he's hard to interact with.
If you think of it as cantripping phrexian arena that burns your opponents, I think it makes sense for a stalling deck. It's also quite possibly too slow.
