I have also heard that there are trainers that can teach your dog to avoid rattlesnakes. I myself would like to have a dog that could bark when he or she smelled a snake or heard one. I remember handling snakes as a kid and they seemed to have a distinctive smell.

An easy search for 'reptiles and amphibians of ________' should yield a resource to see what venomous snakes are in the area you'll be hiking. The site should have a list of snakes and their known ranges.
Calling 911 is Too Late and people died waiting them, Request Government to Provide Anti Venom Medicine or Injection for Self Treatment to those Villages where there are Many Snakes.
