I remember this eventful day as if it was only yesterday. It was 'hot beers' in the Canteen that caused Officer SIMON and myself from being saved from being trapped in Police HQ. The events that followed until stability was somewhat restored played a significant part in my life since then. I was also the main witness in the murder suicide of Officer FRANCIS ADAMS and his wife MAUREEN BRADSHAW ADAMS in Police HQ a few years earlier ... This traumatic even still haunts me today as no other specialist treatment was afforded to me except some medication (sleeping tabs) from Dr BONTERRE , the Police Psychiatrist then ... The events prior to this 1990 events , as RICHIE says, is very visible in society today ... In this regard, I urge the Authorities to take heed and precautions NEVER to let this ever happen again ...
It's rather unfortunate that no one or no entity has made mention of the 100 plus young men who were three months in training and manned the Police Barracks. We are still traumatized
Thank you for your service sir. You all were called to go above and beyond any type of training or reasonable expectations. As the term was used during covid...a coup is an unprecedented circumstance. And we pray that it doesn't happen again and if it does we as a nation are better prepared.
It's critically important to continue the conversation to glean from this experience going forward as there are indicators as mentioned.

Every year you hear something new. So sad my brother had to die but God knows best.
He will never be forgotten.Hopefully he may be given the highest national award one day posthumously.
