Odd of Khu to tease Pokemon in 2024 before Indigo Disk's release.. SV does tease Unova a lot but it feels mad possible next year's more a chill year with a Johto game.. Which do y'all think: Johto, Unova or a mostly blank year for 2024?
I hope for a blank year but it’ll probably be unova remakes if anything.
To me, it looks like one region is gonna get love this gen, which is Unova. At least I hope so because it needs it so much!

@@JamieAlexander18 For Lord's sake, brother, stop saying things as if it's an absolute. We don't know if we're getting a Johto game or not. I personally think a Unova game is more likely, but that doesn't mean a possibility for the Johto game doesn't exist either. Both have a fair shake and one should always be open to ideas when discussing and understanding leaked stuff, which you apparently don't seem to do, sadly.

That's what i was thinking, Blueberry Academy is confirmed to be in Unova, so maybe we'll be able to visit it. It would be cool if they did the full Kanto/ Johto treatment and let us enroll in Blueberry and visit Paldea that way but i doubt they'd actually do that much.

I think we’ll get something like ORAS, where the current gen’s gimmick is implemented into the remake. It really feels like Ms. Briar’s dialogue was setting up for that, anyways
I still just want megas to return. Terastillizing is the second best battle gimmick introduced, but megas were so cool and feel like they belong as a permanent part of the franchise. I understand balancing exists alongside the need for new gimmicks to sell, but they can include megas in a meta where it's already balanced by fans anyway.

I think the Khu tweet means Kanto is to Johto as Unova is to Paldea
Paldea is the sister region to Unova, so 2024 will feature Unova
The S/V leak with the other regions doesn't necessarily mean a 3rd dlc. It could be the locked content that Khu was talking about.
To me, it feels more like a Mythical event. Khu would be the type to say something like missed content just to throw people off.

legends unova seems fairly likely given all the love that unova has been getting lately (gmax garbodor, hisuian zoroark, basculegion, lilligant, blueberry academy, etc). it seems too soon for another remake, but it's not the first time we've gotten 2 remakes 2 gens in a row(FRLG and HGSS)

@@JamieAlexander18 LGPE isn't really a remake though, its more like a retelling, since Red and Blue started their journeys before the LGPE protagonist/rival, we have Leaf in the game. Not to speak about the catching mechanics and the battling being different.
And then you are also easily forgetting Galarian Darumaka, Darmanitan and Stunfisk.

So many good Mons including my overall favourite bee 🧣 and the setting. Beautiful... I don't care much for the trials but I loved alola more than people care for and I wish it got some attention.

In every 10 years, the Pokemon Company celebrates a decade anniversary with the release of a new generation (2006 = Gen 4; 2016 = Gen 7). You can bet that by year 2026 during the 30th anniversary, the company is gonna aim that year as the target for Gen 10 cause of obvious business reasons.
The catch here is that a new Nintendo console has been confirmed to be released next year 2024. This means that Nintendo will be expecting a Pokemon mainline title to release soon in order to capitalize the sales of the new console. The thing is, Pokemon Company always releases a mainline title game, which kickstarts a new generation, to be the first Pokemon game to play on the new Nintendo console (GBA = Ruby & Sapphire of Gen 3; DS = Diamond & Pearl of Gen 4; 3DS = XY of Gen 6).
The only exception to all this is Let's Go Pikachu and Eevee, which was the first mainline title Pokemon Company released for the Switch instead of Sword and Shield that kickstarted Gen 8. This exception was due to the fact that Pokemon GO shifted everything. This is another reason why Let's Go Jotho may be releasing sooner, in 2024, instead of Black & White remakes nor Gen 10, because of the expectations that comes with the release of the new Nintendo console coming next year in 2024. The Pokemon Company must've already planned in advance what game to release for its system. Is Let's Go Jotho most likely *not* a Switch title?
If Let's Go Johto is still a Switch title, making Scarlet & Violet not the last mainline Switch games from Pokemon, then what would the Pokemon Company release for Nintendo's new console next year (or if not 2024, then 2025?) Definitely not Gen 10 because they're gonna make sure it'll be aimed for 2026, the 30th anniversary.
Will the Black & White remakes be the first mainline title for the new Nintendo console, or will that be the final Switch titles from Pokemon? I could only wonder how Nintendo feels if Pokemon takes until 2026 with the release of Gen 10 to be the first games to support the new console.
It makes sense for gen 5 to take place in in the twenty *5th* the 5th of the decade
One good thing about ILCA is that they really made a challenging elite 4. Sure, the difficulty jump is insane and I do feel bad about all the kids that got wiped by these freaking competetive teams, but it was really nice to get such a hard elite 4.

In my head this prediction from Khu actually makes a lot of sense at least to me. If we would get new Johto games that would obviously include Kanto in them so Johto and Kanto basically go hand in hand. And the same thing kinda works for Black and White remakes too, if they are proper full on remakes more on the level of Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire, then Unova and Paldea could be connected as well since Blue Berry Academy is in Unova and it is part of Gen 9 DLC then why couldn't their be a connection between Unova and Paldea in the Black and White remakes.
Khu confirmed that the meaning of this riddle was that all of the games are named after Colors. Fire Red Leaf Green (Kanto) Gold Silver (Johto) Black and White (Unova) Scarlet violet (Paldea)
But if that’s true then you either have to count Ruby and Sapphire or remove Gold and Silver since they’re both different names for colors but primarily used when referencing gemstones and minerals. Then again Khu’s riddles don’t always make complete sense.
Interesting. I guess if we go by patterns, having skipped remakes in gen 7, Gen 10 would come before gen 5 remakes/sequel/prequels. But after the state of SV even a year after their release, and given the very dodgy responses given by TCPi, I'm not very confident in the quality of a full-blown new region releasing within the next year. We'll see, though. I hope Pokémon can get back on track. I felt it's lost its magic despite still being fun. And the state of SV is inexcusable.
@Zoroarkillusion Gold and Silver while they are minerals are also colours but Ruby and sapphire are just minerals (yes there may be ruby and sapphire colours but that is just describing the shade or type of colour)
Maybe its gonna be a game in the past where all the reigons where connected once or where you get to traverse all of these reigons and your able to take a boat or a plane like you do to kitakami to these reigons and youll find some huge secret about how all these reigons where connected
Nintendo usually plays it safe when they release a new system. With that said if there is a new Switch we might get S/V updates for the new system. Like faster loading, better graphics, and some other content. Likewise, we might get Let's Go style Johto games for those who do end up getting the new Switch to hold people over. I am not expecting/hoping for anything related to Gen 5 till 2026 (Pokémon 30th anniversary). Last time we got this much content back-to-back was during Gen 4 (Diamond, Pearl, Platinum, Heartgold, and Soul Silver) and Gen 5 (Black/White, Black 2/White 2).
I would love for them to update S/V so that it runs 60 fps for the new system or something a bit more smoother than what we currently have lol. I still have nightmares getting through lag lake with those Veluzas chasing me.

The idea of dream energy can be thought of in context of gen 5's dream machines and the dream world. Dream pokemon such as iron leafs and coming from the future could be real as pokemon black could be the future and white the past. Just half a thought i won't say much more
A good scenario is legends celebi, which takes place in a region that split into kanto and johto and having black and white 3(I feel the BB academy hints at this if the new characters are related to older ones). Dlc I guess for scarlet and violet but depending on how the indigo disk finishes I really don't see the point, unless it means more raids and everything?

ILCA did their job perfectly. The problem is we didn't want what they were assigned. Still, doesn't meant they have the skillset needed to create original content. All we know is that they're very good at making faithful remakes. Let's hope Unova gets the sequel and/or prequel it deserves. So much was left untold in that story, and I've been waiting for a sequel, or at least prequel for over a decade now.
now that ilca has shown that they can make a pokemon game, i dont nececarily think they van do bw3, yet. but they should be trusted with a johto oras style remake (ideally with the already combined hgss as a base) make some mods here and there write a post game but most of it is still layed out for them paint by numbers but with expanded palette and a few blank pages. after they do that properly then we can trust them with something more ambitious like bw3, still an existing picture book but the rest from scratch. now ballancing has always been an issue with these two, but i do think they can just fix that.

@@e7193 yes, and the only sane way to do these remakes is with the black and white remastered trilogy. The third one may or may not be a legends title.
A studio that knows how to make proper faithful remakes should know when it's too faithful, when to dial things back and where are where not to modernize/change aspects from the original game.
ILCA so far has done nothing but show us how utterly incapable they are at this, to the point that BDSP have the exact same bugs and glitches from the originals with more newer equally broken bullshit slapped on top.
If ILCA knew how to make faithful remakes they should know where a line has to be drawn. They don't.

Agreed wholeheartedly. ILCA put some effort into those, especially the Elite Four and Champion. I lost to the Elite Four for the first time in a long time.
The only thing challenging was Cynthia, the rest was just the same as normal in terms of difficulty as in there isn’t any

Imagine if the four regions meant that we get Legends unova and the other 3 regions listed wpuld be the starters. But it doesnt make sense due to a johto starter being in legends arceus

One good thing of BDSP was the rebattles of the gym leaders and Cynthia with fully eve trained iv competitive teams. ILCA was just restricted by Gamefreak's direction. I am willing to bet if ILCA had more liberties, they would have included the platinum content and more but Gamefreak didn't the focus to shift from Legends Arceus

I think Johto remake/Legends and BW/Legends might be underway. Some of the signs we have:
1) Scarlet/Violet - The Paradox Pokémon - Johto Paradoxes (Suicune, Entei, and Raikou) and Unova Paradoxes (Terrakion, Virizion, and Cobalion).
2) DLC 1 - Kitakami - based on the past, very Kanto/Johto vibes and DLC 2 - based on the future, and the fact that it’s on UNOVA!
3) Detective Pikachu Return: The Ho-oh painting “Golden Sunshine” and the Lugia painting “Silver Waves” this might refer to a two separate but same games. Just legendary difference like SV.
With that said, we might have a remake of Johto Region being “Silver Waves” and “Golden Sunshine” and maybe UNOVA Legends (maybe Victini or Genesect or Kyurem). All same formula they did on year 2021 when they remade SINNOH (Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl) and Legends Arceus.

Pokemon Gen 5 Remake is most likely to happen next year on Switch (they will only cover the orginal BW games without any B2W2 storyline developments). The real question is what are they planning for Pokemon Generation 10 game.
Ps. There are rumours that Terapagos has the stats of 780 in its final form (they call this form Terastal Genesis/Origin🤨, or something like that). The typing is Rock/Dragon.

You must have somehow missed Khu's response to his own riddle where he revealed the answer. The four regions shown are from the Gens with a color theme (Red/Blue/Yellow, Gold/Silver, Black/White, Scarlet/Violet). So whatever Khu is teasing has to do with games named after colors.

Some thoughts of mine:
If they were to make a Unova remake, do you think that instead of remaking two entirely separate (not in terms of story, ofc) games, they’ll include the plot of BW2 into DLC? Or perhaps do a timeskip post credits?
This one’s a bit of a stretch, but my initial thought was that perhaps the maps of the Kanto, Johto, and Unova regions alongside Paldea’s could be a reference as to how we’re probably gonna get more Pokemon within Part 2 of the Teal/Indigo DLC-specifically Pokemon from the aforementioned regions (perhaps more regional forms/evolutions as well?).
They could have new evolutions or forms like they did with usum with new ubs.
one good thing about bdsp is their pokemon models/in battle graphics. iirc, its so good that modders are using it as the base for future rom hacks/fanmade games

Kanto and Johto are connected. Paldea and Unova are connected (in the game). My guess is he’s teasing that we’ll have a game that spans 2 regions either in an existing manner or in a new way
Johto is my favorite region, and frankly I would prefer a more legends type return to it rather than a let's go. But when you mentioned a new poké Ball Plus with Celebi I got really excited. Because they could give us a physical GS ball controller lol
What if ILCA is working on a Scarlet and Violet 2. The picture was of the Paldea starters. And the Paldea academy was one of the pictures. Maybe they would trust ILCA with a sequel that reuses assets if they are going to polish out a few of their uses scrapped ideas we didn't get in the game before which are too much to add to DLC
ILCA's BDSP at least 2 good things: They had you able to catch all the Gen 1-4 starters (now DLC2 will give us all) & they brought back standing legendaries. Yeah they had the specific grass & "Distortion World" parts, but the legends were there waiting.
Although, we didn't get the dancing Barry animation.

I think what it might mean is that, just like how you can visit Kanto after Johto in the gen 2 games, we might be able to perhaps visit Paldea in the Unova remakes coming up. They might play it safe and just have you visit Blueberry Academy in the Unova remakes though, which technically isn't Paldea, but still a new 'gen 9' area.
I've been thinking that whenever ILCA makes another Pokemon game that it would be a lot better, especially when you see the one piece game they recently released, and THAT looks good. And I definitely think that the next games are gonna be Johto. Unova remakes are gonna be with the 30th anniversary for pokemon, when they would also release gen10, then remake gen 5 as a throwback to the halfway point of the series. Anyhow, BDSP was fun tbh, it was my first time with gen4 and it gave us the long awaited shiny hunt for Arceus!

It's not just about money or nostalgia. Also, my main reason for suspecting Johto games next is because it's the oldest region that has been revisited. As ttar said, it's been 14 years. Unova was 13 years ago. Johto then Unova is my guess
@@thomyads Unova is next. Johto had HGS so its done. Also another johto remake won't fix the level curve and other issues. Just like HGSS didn't. So Johto can stay gone for all I care.

@@JamieAlexander18 gamefreak remade kanto 3 times maybe even more, and they revisit regions in many different ways. BDSP and Arceus is another example too. Nothing is out of the picture unless they confirm it. If we do get Johto games they don't have to be actual remakes. They can be legends style or lets go
One thing great about BPSP: Getting Arceus, Shaymin, Darkrai, Mew, and Jirachi!

i grew up playing Pokémon Diamond with no introduction to platinum until years later. Yes i wish the Sinnoh remake was a true to heart 3d remake and was a completely reimagined version of Sinnoh, i admire to try to give the fans a remaster they might feel more comfortable play, appose to the completely new look and feel on Pokémon that legends of Arceus brings........ I also love the Chibi Aesthetic, i know an unpopular opinion but man it brings me back to my ds lite and that first diamond playthrough. also the additions to the underground cave and and the Poketch integration was perfect imo! thanks for the amazing video!

What if they could make a game that combines the first three regions and the looks of paldea with a story thats makes you visit all of them?
i can list lots of good things about bdsp:
- faster traversal
- fairy type
- harder elite 4 & champion
- walk with pokemon everywhere
- pokemon in the underground
- online features are currently up & running
- multiple outfits
- all legendaries & mythicals aren't shiny locked
- better music (imo, and if you dont like the new music the DS Sounds item fixes that)
- removed HMs
- tons of legendaries available via ramanas park & trying to find shards for it is addicting (imo) (not much use for pal park outside of transferring from gen 3)
- arceus, mew & jirachi aren't tied to limited time events
- improved pokeradar
- more use for stickers
- can do contests online
- access trade rooms almost everywhere
- access pokemon boxes everywhere
- mystery gift auto-unlocks when you beat maylene if you haven't manually unlocked it before then
- shiny charm (this only works for breeding, but DPPt didn't have it at all)
- better in-battle environment
- in-battle friendship mechanics (imo, I know not everyone likes this)
- better options menu
- bigger screen even in handheld mode (due to the hardware rather than software but its still a positive)
I've tried to limit the amount of subjective stuff but yeah lmao
Growing up is such a strange experience… I remember when announcements, or leaks of my favorite franchises excited me beyond words. Somehow, now, it’s the opposite. Carrying a more comprehensive understanding of the gaming industry, and developer crunch, I grow exhausted with every announcement. Maybe this time it’ll be better? I don’t claim to know, but the Pokémon companies actions speak so much louder than their words.
I’ll maintain hesitant optimism for now, but man, is this getting old.
The biggest problem I have with all of the remakes is the fact that they are not the definitive versions of the games so they always come out feeling half baked back in the days we had storage issues with the cartridges so they could only do so much but to me there is no way they shouldn’t be able to remake heart gold and soul silver. Something tells me though they will not try and do that and make gold and silver which means people will be let down again but we will support it anyways but I wish they added more to the endgame and treated every game like it is the last in the series like they used to. I miss battle frontier end game and being able to do different types of battles.

btw here's an actual leak for ya: sword/shield update or new game connection to Kalos + Galar as well as 3 new Pokemon one of which is a glitch one, of which is a space-themed one, and the third is a beta Johto
Honestly a 3rd DLC could make sense. Kitikami is near Johto & Blueberry Academy is near Unova. We could have a 3rd DLC for Scarlet & Violet with no relation both parts of The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero, much like how The Isle of Armor & the Crown Tundra aren't connected in Sword & Shield. And this 3rd DLC could take place in an area near Kanto; Maybe the return of the Sevi Islands?

They’re 100% making Let’s Go Pichu and Lets Go Togepi with some new Pokémon that you can only get in Pokemon GO. And yeah, you will choose a normal Johto starter but you’ll be given a Pichu/Togepi Egg right off the bat

one good thing ilca does above game freak is make the Pokemon follow you at a good speed. where ass after lets go every time a Pokemon follows including in the new dlc for scarlet, it is so far behind it might as well not even be there at all
to be fair to ilca when bdsp released it was a very akward time for game freak, ilca were just testing the 3d world and seeing how us as a comunity would react. hopefully they would learn and change from past mistakes.

Hear me out.
Johto was Gen 2, Gen 2 and their remakes were the only games so far that gave us the ability to revisit an older region after traveling through the current one.
This accounts for Kanto and Johto imagery being on there.
The next games should logically be either Gen 2 remakes(like how Let's Go was the next remakes after ORAS, both Hoenn and Kanto were repped in Gen 3), we've had Gen 4 remakes so another Gen 2 remake makes sense. Alternative it should be Gen 5, but Gen 5 has the problems with remaking them because of BW2.
This is where we get to Paldea, what if we got another DLC but this time it's akin to a full region, more specifically Unova.
I wonder how much we're supposed to be reading into "We've gotta be joking"? April release or related to the new games content?
Honestly, a BW remake with 2 games in 1 doesnt sounds bad. Imagine you go through the storyline of 1, beat the league and the ‘end’ is actually creating a new character for the 2 storyline years after. But the final will be fighting against your first ‘you’… pretty sick challenge…

Johto or Unova remakes shouldn’t be a one-one with like 1 new feature take the ORAS approach and change it up a lil bit
I want to see unova at a time during the fragmentation of Kyurem. They tease the story through the pokedex and an entire town built around fear of Kyurem, and then never touch on it again. New legendary Pokémon form teased by the pokedex, a peaceful era on the verge of war revealed by the story of Zekrom/Reshiram and two brothers who built separate tribes. Lots of things to explore potentially, if this route was considered and think of the legendary on the cover, a unified Kyurem, in its majestic three piece fusion glory. How cool would that be?
Bdsp had good audio design and had the eon flute.
HG/SS are gen 4 games like D/P. It’s possible ILCA is remaking Johto using HG/SS as a base like they did with BD/SP with D/P as a base
The good thing Ilca did with Sinnoh was extra PC boxes. 40 boxes instead of 32 meaning you could actually complete a national Dex without having to release many good Pokémon.
I wanna see a unova game like legends but back when the og dragon and king of unova (also AZ) involved somehow, since it’s a legends-type game it wouldn’t need an elite system for a champion either.
a likely outcome seems to be all of them, Let's go johto is likely since the gen 2 games let you go to kanto in the post game and the let's go games were perfect for the casual audience, Black and white remakes would make sense potentially as a launch title for the next generation for the switch similar to how black 2 and white 2 were that in between game for the ds into the 3ds and more content for scarlet and violet would be good, especially if they actually try to fix the game and retrofit it for the next gen console as well
The only good thing I can say about bdsp is how the battles looked. The background settings, move animations, and lighting all looked great and are some of the best presentation we've seen in the series
ILCA has to be working on Glossy White and Matte Black
My personal wishlist would be announcements for:
1. Pokemon Legends: Mew (Kanto)
2. Let's Go Jhoto (Jhoto)
3. Black & White remakes (Unova)
4. A 3rd DLC (Paldea) (I want more backstory on the Emperor and the Treasure of Ruins)
Paldea was a reference to the fact that Indigo is getting delayed to 2024

It seems as though there might be a second Paldea game, a let’s go Johto similarly to heart gold and soul silver, and a Unova remake of some sort.
1 good thing about BDSP... the Azure Flute finally became a real obtainable thing with a standing Arceus event... but it requires you to have beaten Legends Arceus... Oh! Pokemon could follow behind you! But it wasn't everywhere, and wasn't done as well as Heartgold and Soulsilver... I guess they improved the Underground, giving us a place where we can find rare Pokémon?
Maybe we’ll get like a hgss situation where johto and kanto is accessible but with unova as the main map and paldea is accessible in the new game
I think it's gonna be a soul silver/heart gold remake because we already know the indigo disk is tied to unova due to blueberry academy being located there

I think it's all of em. Hear me out. Kanto and Johto can be released on NSO. We already have proof this is possible. Unova (Either Legends or otherwise) is the next main project and Paldea is probably raid events and the like, possibly mythicals.
I was thinkin the older games mean bringing them to NSO. Then legends or whatever they gone call it. Then maybe another DLC for SV or raid events.
With Nintendo 3ds servers going offline in April 2024 it makes sense to release all the gen 1 / gen 2 games on to NSO and make it bank compatible
No one wants to pay subscription for those games. That is a scam. Also Kanto has Lets Go on Switch.

I liked buying different outfits in Veilstone and I did enjoy the Grand Underground I won’t lie but that’s all the compliments BDSP is getting from me. I pray they don’t screw up Unova that’s my favorite region personally! 🙏
My prediction would be Let's Go: Johto, Legends: Unova or B/W remakes. As for the Kanto image, maybe suggesting ports of original Kanto games coming to Nintendo Switch? Pokemon Red and Blue on switch? Paldea could be more DLC.

what switch do you have? I have never encountered a game breaking glitch or significant amounts of lag in all my 100+ hours playing SV and its DLC, what it seems like is that your switches are poorly optimized

ILCA isnt guilty of bdsp, they weren't free at all but very influenced by Gamefreak. The little originality that ILCA put in the remakes was incredible, like the difficulty of the post-game battles and the music

Because this is literally the first time that game freak themselves have a loud someone to make a main series pokémon game that isn't them, they put an assload of restrictions on them. This is a smaller indie team and it was one of the first times they made like a real game. Pokémon company told them a lot of things they could and couldn't do, and they were on the absurdly unrealistic pokémon game development schedule. Of course it was going to come out glitchy and weird. But really a lot of the main problems with the game that people complain about aren't their fault, it's things that the pokémon company man needed
