Maggie you are battling multiple health problems. My heart goes out to you. I admire your strength. My bowel opened in the early hours. Complete agony which doesn't stop afterwards. Got up 9.30am this morning, had bad pain and am now lying curled up in bed waiting for pain killer to take effect.

I hear you as I have been having trouble as well so just went to doctor for one thing and the medication for that is causing trouble with the chron's. So now going to the gastroenterology. Thank you for sharing 😉 Take care better soon.

Congratulations on being asked to be ambassador! You are a great person to speak for all of us! I am currently in medically induced remission through taking daily RINVOQ and monthly Stelara shots. I am currently waiting for a major surgery for issues caused by Crohn’s.

I’m so glad my periods stopped when I had my big surgery. I’m so sorry🥺 I think with all of our inflammation makes our cramps much worse. I lived & worked with my heating pad 24/7 when it was that lovely time.
❤❤❤ Sometimes my stoma is off the chain, in a bad way. Then I have a leak end instead of a wee.😮😢

If you figure out the red eye thing please share. Mine will be fine for months then Holy cow wake up in the morning and one or the other if not both are as red as a coke can. I have checked and I'm 100% sure I'm not a vampire lol. Congratulations on your big news!!!

I hope the conference discusses Microscopic Colitis, which doesn't seem to be spoken about much. I have Lymphocytic colitis and would love to hear what new developments have happened in the treatment of this disease. Stay well Maggie, you're an inspiration
Antibiotics will mess your gut up. I have to take a lot of probiotics to add good bacteria. I had an emergency doctor give me advice to take D-Mannose for uti. Was truly a miracle.
Antibiotics always throw off my output!

I've had CD in my eyes before. After seeing an ophthalmologist, he confirmed it. Rather odd place for it, but after a few days of antibiotic/steroid eye drops, it cleared up. Just an FYI. ❤

I personally would be very interested to learn if probiotics are of any help for IBD, there are several strains being marketed that have my attention. Congrats!!! The meds, foods, viral infections, even the environment must make the number of biological interactions exponential. Sounds like a GI doctor could also use some tech expertise in data analysis. STILL very happy for this new position and hope you have time to enjoy not only the information presented but also the Vegas ambiance.

Congrats Maggie!! I wish my newest GI Dr would attend. Scratch that! ALL GI dr's in Texas should attend! I've only found 1 that's halfway good. Unfortunately, he's now too far for me to see😢.
I don’t like the gelatinous-ness of broth either. I’ve found that warming it up in the microwave or in the pot like soup makes that go away and quite enyojable to drink

Keep up the IV hydration. Also look into hyperbaric oxygen treatment. It will be a fight with the insurance company but i’ve heard it’s pretty good healing many of our our tissues plus giving our immune systems a big boost 🌺

Try a little Metamucil. It calms down my ileostomy when it is active and watery. 👍

I hope you’re ostomy starts behaving. Can you do a video on what to look for when finding a new GI doctor? The GI that took over when my GI retired just doesn’t seem to really care about his patients. When I have a recheck it’s virtual and the time slot is 30mins and the GI hangs up after 5mins. My ED is making my Crohn’s worse and when I try and talk about it he ignores me. My symptoms don’t matter to him it feels like. I just don’t know what to look for when looking for a new GI. My Co pays are $80 a GI visit so I can’t just go meet a bunch of different GIs.
Do you hear anything hirschsprung disease at these conferences

Wish my Dr could go. 😪 Will try. I am over the dyorea. Constantly. My but is puckered up tight and painful. Dr just tells me to do the best I can. Bowels are particularly blockages x3, now butt almost non-existence. WHAT NEXT. THE DRS WON'T TOUCH ME. DON'T COME TO NEW ZEALAND AND GET SICK.😢

Your eye issue sounds like you might have a sub-conjunctive hemorrhage (burst blood vessel). It is generally not serious, but looks awful.
Yeah, when you break a blood vessel in your eye it looks like you are possessed or are inhabited by aliens or something.
I know this doesn't have anything to do with what you were talking about. I would like to know if you have any problems getting disability or have you ever tried to get it.
