@@ash-dl8ff Ok. I disagree with your opinion then. Straight brows made her look more harsh and masculine. Upturned made her look softer and more feminine.
I swear eyebrow shape might be the easiest way to have a glow up… it took me some time to find the shape that suits me best but now I’m finally satisfied! I’d recommend to everyone to think about which shape would suit them best and try
100% agree!! My natural eyebrows are dark, thick, straight but downturned (while my eyes are upturned). As a younger teen, a guy once told me that I'd be pretty if it weren't for my eyebrows. Insecure as I was at that age, I changed them to fit what was in trend at the moment... so they became thinner and arched. However, imo now, that looked even worse because my facial features are rather soft so the arched eyebrows looked way too harsh. I went back towards my normal straight eyebrows but just cleaned up, not quite as thick, and not downturned anymore (which fit better with my eyes and was what bothered me most) and suddenly, friends started complimenting me for and were envious of my eyebrows. I realised my natural eyebrow shape fit my face well, I just needed a few tweaks to improve the look and I feel like now I've found what's right for me. An eyebrow journey can thus involve trial and error but once you find what fits you best, it'll be so worth it!! 😊
It's kinda fun to see everybody in the comments having different eyebrow preferences and opinions on which eyebrows suit the model best. Conventional beauty standards definitely exist, but to some extent, at least, beauty really is in the eye of the beholder.
Yeah, when it all comes down to the meat and potatoes of it all, we all still have our own preferences and likes. Regardless of what’s the “most attractive” in media or universally/unanimously agreed!
@@madewhole-ev4uyYes, there is. And unfortunately, those "standards" become defined by society's sheep mentality. Which is also the reason why the "standards" are constantly changing.
@@jacquithekd A standard is a level of quality or acceptance. but the thing is attractiveness not just physical is purely subjective. it is the idea of a beauty standard that births the reality of one. all countries and societies around the world have different features or qualities that are deemed 'attractive' or desirable. the beauty standard is simply on faulty foundation just look how it constantly changes so that means there is some form of subjectivity being ignored. People point to famous people and say, 'look a bunch of women find this guy attractive so he must be'. but this statement ignores the other bunch of people who don't find the man attractive. Nowadays we see people especially on social media become so extremely vain that the person themself becomes unattractive. And if that is the case that means there is more to the formula that would make someone attractive to you. This includes dress, height, facial feature, eye colour, teeth, intellect, job status, language, personality and the list can go on and on. So, we can’t simply look and say small straight nose, long hair, big boob and long legs are the standard because there are millions of people who do not have those features but are deemed attractive. I think back to Pride and Prejudice male lead for examples to this personally I didn’t find his physical looks attractive but halfway through the movie as his personality is shown I found him very attractive. And this also goes into the inhumane trend of valuing people by numbers of which the criteria is only physically based. We are all made in the image and likeness of God so I don’t see how one can be more attractive (as a whole not to a person) or not. The person that gets a low number begins to feed into thought that there is indeed an objective standard of attractiveness (which is only physical). I’m sorry if this was a confusing read as I’m currently developing a theory on this as I’m just now putting it to paper.
Just a reminder that eyebrow trends will change again! Thick and straight may be in right now but the trend will inevitably change sometime soonish. I find it interesting seeing what brows some people here find feminine vs masculine. For a long time thin and rounded brows were seen as the feminine ideal. We see it not only in old Hollywood but from many centuries past in portraits and artwork. Just interesting and exhausting how beauty trends change so quickly nowadays thanks to social media.

People have different tastes, so there will be different opinions. However, everyone can see all of her expressions are the same, I’m assuming so we can focus on her eyebrows, in my opinion, she has naturally beautiful eyebrows. Making the eyebrows too thick, too thin, making the arch too dramatic doesn’t make her look alive, it takes away from the natural beautiful of her eyebrows.
Some faces suit the arch. My eyebrows are thick so I can easily change their shape do I've done a lot of things to them, straight, thin, arched... In the end what fitted me was something very close to my natural shape. Thick, slightly arched, and low
