Maybe Otis doesn’t wanna feel sad about his old friends.
Not replace Terry because he's been with them since the 90s, but if the lead singer leaves, they can move Terry over to lead because he replaced Ali Woodson back in the 90s and then Paul Williams Jr. can have the slot that his father had.
Because Otis never had any interest in the Temptations except himself. Dennis put Paul Jr in his Temptations Revue.

Rolling Stones eat your hearts out. Look how the Temps & see how its really done. They were the first, and still only, supergroup. Every one a virtuoso. Never done before, or since. I'm 76 & even my 13 yr old granddaughter is a Temps fan. We'll never see their likes again. ❤❤❤❤

As a founding member of The Temptations, Otis isn’t a part of The Temptations Review. I believe he owns the rights to the actual name “Temptations” or something similar.
