God Bless You
I just realized the balance of the movie is centered around overcoming the greatest opponent a D&D group will ever face… a locked door.
Oh my gosh, I didn't even realize that until you said it LOL
As someone who has never played the game, I had a good time with this movie as a comedic take on medieval fantasy films. A lot of the humour and jokes hit for me, the action was fun, and I enjoyed the characters. I was worried going in that I wouldn’t understand anything but the movie was very accessible to a noob like me that I was happy to walk out with a smile on my face.
Fantastic! I'm glad you enjoyed the film as well! I'll take that as a testament to the movie's focus on crafting a compelling and accessible narrative instead of bogging itself down with self-referential nods and fan-only details (that I as a player may not have been aware of to non-player audiences).
Thanks for sharing! It's always awesome to hear from a fellow film fanatic!
This movie felt like a visual version of every table I have ever sat at right down to the inside jokes.
Watched your (first, I shall view the others) video about Evangelion (which was fantastic). That led me to this one... You earned a sub within the first three seconds.
I'm sure I'll enjoy this whole video, but I feel like, "If you don't like the new D&D movie, you don't like fun." is such a perfect description of why that movie rules, I don't even need to complete the video to know I'm going to enjoy it!
Haha, thank you so much! I really appreciate it, and I'm glad you're enjoying the videos! Thank you for the feedback and support!
Great attitude, great content, great aesthetics. I’m happy I found your channel and I hope you get your well deserved blow up soon!
P.s. I’ve watched all your other videos and this was the last on the binge. I’ll be sure to go back and leave some more comments for engagement.
Aww thank you so much! That means the world, honestly. I'm glad you found your way here, and I'm excited to release more soon! Hopefully it's just as bingeable.
I had a lot of fun watching this movie, I’m a pretty big fan of Chris Pine. My only critique was that the pace of the film felt a bit fast. I don’t think that it harms the movie much but general audience have less investment in a seemingly niche film.
A good critique, and one I definitely can agree with.
Ya I did have any expectations but had hope it would be a good movie.
I liked it, my wife who doesn’t play D&D liked it so ya success
Hurrah! Glad to know others are enjoying this film as well!
just watched your eva video and now this. you should watch RECORD OF LODOSS WAR.
I'll definitely check it out; thank you for the recommendation!
Great review!! I was debating seeing this but now I'm hyping up my DND group to see it because of this video.
Also your editing style is on point! I can't believe you don't have more subscribers it's such high quality content, please keep it up.
Oh my goodness, thank you so much! I'm glad I could help with your decision on whether or not to watch this film, and thank you for all the compliments! I intend to keep working and releasing valuable content. Thank you for your support!
Thanks for the review. I’m still not planning on seeing it, but it sounds like it could be fun for some. I’m not a D&D fan, nor a Chris Pine or Michelle Rodriguez fan. For those planning on going watching it, enjoy. 🙏
Thank you so much for the feedback. No film is for everyone, and I totally understand not seeing it if it isn't your thing. I appreciate your time and support; thank you again!
Bro got 89k views on one video and 834 views on the next one 💀💀💀
Life is full of disappointments! XD
Only change I would make is the barbarian. Total miscast. Not what I visualize when I see a barbarian, a big hulking ugo. Should had a different actor/actress or gave her a different role if they were really dead set on her being in the film.
I can understand that angle. I definitely want to see other actors as different classes.
Who would you cast as the barbarian, or what role do you think Michelle Rodriguez would've been better in? I thought she brought the right attitude, but made a few acting choices I hadn't expected.
@@timberw0lfstudios if they still want to go female: Gwendoline Christie for male I would go Reuben de Jong or one of the actors who played the Mountain in GoT.
Totally! I'd love to see Gwendoline Christie in a D&D adaptation; that's a great call!
I just saw that the film overperformed this opening weekend, so hopefully we get a sequel and some of these possibilities start opening up.
