I wasn't expecting this! Humor in general is something really important for me, so seeing someone analyze what makes the humor of previous movies work and what makes the current ones don't felt great!

It's humor you can tell didn't go through a process of "artificial sanitizing" by a boardroom of suits first. Which strikes a chord with viewers, feeling more "organic" and "human". DP is not afraid to say what the audience is thinking, when the time comes without fear of angering "sponsors". Granting him a deeper connection with the audience.

Another great video! I couldn’t pinpoint why Marvel’s humor felt so cheap lately, but I think you hit on the key point here. The jokes that don’t contribute to the story don’t have any weight behind them.

I enjoyed Deadpool 3 more than I thought I would. Should have 0 stakes, but still somehow makes you care. Also not every joke landed for me, but man there were some good gags.
