- I'll show you an easy way I like to do weathered metallics with verdigris and patina effects. Also, I turn a wound counter into a wearable piece.

I really like the idea of using the sponge to blend as well as soak up the extra paint all at the same time. Brilliant! Thanks!
Thanks 😊 glad you think so
The sponge did a great job of blending the verdigris.
They are handy to have!
Beautiful work as always, Zams! I say we bring "bling" back
Yes! Let’s do it :)
Now it looks quite old, like an antique from your great grandfather's days. Vallejo Game Color used to have a really perfect looking verdigris paint, but they sadly discontinued it. I got a nice Alpine Green by mixing it with German Camo Green, never be afraid to mix things up for the task at hand!
Heck ya! It's always sad when something you love gets discontinued. There are great premade options out there. But I love mixing paint and making my own stuff if I can.
great tutorial on the Verdigris, I am getting better and your tips will help as I am painting lots of Nurgles guys in that colour
I'm so glad to hear that ^_^. And yay for nurgle!
Awesome tutorial and I learned a new word: verdigris. I'm going to find something to try this out on.
Woo! I’m honestly not sure if I said verdigris right 😅 in the video.
Hi Zambies, thanks for the helpful tips!
Welcome! Thanks for watching.
Beautiful 😊
😄
Amazing eye for detail!
Thank you :)
Great job!!! 🔥🔥🔥
Thanks Dim!
Verdigris has become one of my favourite colours recently so I'll definitely be giving this a go soon!
Woo! Can’t wait to see what you do with it.
Nice video. Thanks for sharing ❤
Thanks for watching!
Great tutorial!
Thanks! Glad you liked it.
Nice tutorial and awesome job becoming the Flava Flav of the mini painting community! I expect to see you wearing it in all public appearances now :)
Haha, oh I will! They can't stop me.
Great work as always Z!!
I like it
😄
"just keep doing this until you're happy" drybrushes until the tend of time...
🤣 🤣🤣
Clever trick with the sponge to absorb the paint with the high lighting.
Was it a normal make up sponge??
And thank you for the cool tips!!
Its nice to see a creative woman with fantastic talent makes it more easier to encourage my daughter to keep up her enjoyment of drawing and painting!!
Something i never had when i was growing up!!
Yeah I bought a package of assorted makeup sponges at five below. They tend to be softer than art sponges.
I hope she does keep it up! I always loved the arts since I was a child and I’ve had a lot of discouraging moments and blocks a long the way. Never give up on something you love 💗.
@@Zambies thank you i will have to get some and thank you for replying 🙂
Seems to be the thing more frequently these days as well, to much focus on academic results and no time for fun and creativity!!
Im still amazed how far the paints and techniques have improved, i was 12/13 when i did my last model!!
Im now 44 and an old dog learning new tricks from younger genius’s like your self!! 🤦♂️😂
I'd like to launch a formal complaint, that his was exactly what I had planned with my counter thingy... we shall now fight to the death. but... I get a handicap
But I am the queen of the undead. You can't fight death. It will always win :P
I would have said bling too... wait, now I dated myself 😅
Haha welcome to the club
