Following the Tour de France is so much better this year thanks to these videoâsđđœ
I agree, but these videos also existed the previous years, good to rewatch now actually
@@NikvdB they had these videos last year but agreed, these videos were really what got me into it
Last year's highlights were similarly brilliant.

Agree, these highlight reels are very well done.
I was never THIS hyped about the TdF and its only because of these videos. The mix of Cinematic and just plain racing clips is just perfect
much better than netflix!
@@Spiedi2012 John Tesh did the same thing back in the day.
Those videos are better than the netflix tdf unchained! Thanks!

thank you for not spoiling whoâs the stage winner .. great job
@@elmertolentino-gm2mf well it's mostly for people who watched race already want to see at least in this short form.
Astonishing race but feeling so sad for Stuyven. He just deserved it. Healy just decided to cut his breakaway and chance for win, only to go away from track and slown down before finish without fighting for position. Also kinda sad for Tadej he didn't escape a bit. LIDL-Trek could make a big things today.
Are you NEW to bicycle racing, and its strategies?
That's bike racing at pro tour level.
Tom pidcock is a legend, i hope one day he will figure in the
overall lead in the tour de france, he has the determination !!
I'm delighted that this magnificent stage took place in my home town. And what's more, a French winner! Champagne !!!
I have said this on every video but these highlights are unbelievable. Sets the benchmark for ALL sports highlights. Brilliant
It's hard to not feel good for the French winner of the stage. It was epic. He did so well. No wonder about the tears. Totally deserved. Like a boss.
BEAUTIFUL STAGE, WE WANT MORE LIKE THAT
Absolutely incredible TDF. Three Frenchmans won stage.
Hope win again by Remco.
Remco keep power in legs on the rest day.

This is Champagne Cycling!
I forgot what the Tour was and enjoyed it as if it were a Monument.
Anthony Turgys with an ENVE bikeđ. Today Aranburu failed because Romo was the one who shot the most as he was the only team with two cyclists.
Thank the leaks for animating the race from start to finish.
How RogliÄ suffered... but he saved the day.
A cyclist died yesterday and Vlasov was allowed to continue without immediate review when his poor balance was evident. There should be a concussion protocol. Last year Carlos RodrĂguez was already in danger. They only cured the Russian's elbow.
The stage was so hectic that Vingegaard couldn't return with his bike for 100 km...
And Remco wanted me to take over đ€Šđ»ââïž
Then the Belgian paid for it and was also in danger of cutting himself. Thanks to the work of Visma, PogaÄar did not cut him off with 27 km to go.
Jonas comes from a serious accident and weighs 10 kilograms less than PogaÄar. It is suicide to go with a runner as explosive and versatile as the Slovenian. In Galibier where he lost the most time was in the descent and the false plane.
Tadej PogaÄar is so good that he makes his team look bad.
Absurd that some criticize today's stage. Today's cyclists cross between vineyards and the French countryside with their super bikes and all the highest-tech customization.
The cyclists of yesteryear raced on this terrain but in the Alps and the Pyrenees.

Bravo great route. More Gravel in the tour!
Won the greatest stage in tour history. The gravel was so awesome. I love the mix up. And it separated the really good riders from the pack. Obviously. Pogacar has got the legs. And the gravel skill.
Legendary win

Great story telling this year with extended highlights.
Add more comments / show more info on km to go (even map for 2 secs would be great) and time gaps within the race (time gap to head of the race, different groups chasing, to peleton).
Otherwise most of the 8 mins it is unclear where the riders are at the moment in the race
CINEMA!

Just piggybacking others. It's tough on him because nobody likes him.
Even his mother refuses to bake for him. Possibly 'The next Lance Armstrong'

It's very annoying to see these roadside spectators almost touching the riders as they pass by! They're distracting and could easily cause crashes!
It is Hell to watch.
But i have at least one anecdote that was HILARIOUS:
in a circuit race where repeated breakaways - i trained at elevations, but at 79 kg was never going to be a climber - always led to reabsorption on final steep "wall" to finish, i watched much of the peloton catch me, including guys so in extremis that they pedaled sideways off the road, running into fat women on chaise longues, children, and into gullies.
I looked over at two huge fat legs in the air, split by a tiny bicyclist.
Laughing so hard, i lost six more places before the line.
In old north american indian torture, what you see is like "running the gauntlet" of people clubbing the competitors.
I have ZERO idea of why football (fill in the blank ________ hockey, bassethowl, punching & kicking "sports", etc.) fans get homicidally emotional about things they have NEVER themselves remotely experienced.
Ineos and pidcock do next to nothing at this tour, and in past 4 yrs
Haha I would have loved to see someone like Keegan Swenson ride this stage and see how he stacked up being fastest gravel racer in the states arguably
It does not finish. Matej MohoriÄ Current Gravel World Champion and the first champion in history Gianni Vermeersch were there today and did not win the stage. MohoriÄ is the one who comments "that it is a danger for the general classification riders.
@@cesarortegaescamilla1782 hmm okay. This is my first year following the TdF and know nothing about this type of racing admittedly. I didnât totally understand why they were all running a full road bike setup and not swapping to a gravel tire to avoid punctures.
â@@SpencerReidBuchananBecause there is more road terrain and technically it is not as difficult, it is more stress for the leaders. I recommend that you see Strade Bianche, the best and most famous Sterrato Classic. As the video begins, it is even more difficult on the cobblestones. I recommend Tour of Flanders and Paris-Roubaix. Greetings.
In that post stage interview with Remco, he sounded like Trump, only younger.
Tom was guarding the wrong person but still a good race.
Le rĂ©sumĂ© long n'est pas supposĂ© ĂȘtre en francais ? ... Bravo a Derek Gee une 3iĂšme place
bin si, il est en français !!!
Look on the video settings. They have multiple languages to choose from as audio tracks - you can listen to English, French or Spanish in the same video.
Wva does zero today?
The final winner is so hard to predict and I love it:
Iâd say the odds are 70% Tadej 25% Jonas and 5% Remco
Most things point towards Tadej, being up early not recovering from a crash. Even further the script is flipped compared to previous years. Visma LABs lackluster team(in the mountains) can hinder the potential for Vingegaard cracking Pogacar in the third week. Maybe Jorgenson can do something, but I doubt it.
However I believe, if played right, the emergence of Evenepoel and the return of Roglic can play in to the hands og Vingegaard. He has to keep them close in the GC. If they have strength they might be able to attack the two favorites. In this case itâs vital for Jonas to not react and let Pogacar chase them. In the end itâs Tadejs tour to lose. In other words. Jonas needs to be willing to lose the podium to win the race. In case of a no Pogacar reaction Vingegaard needs to call his bluff, Tadej has the most to lose.
This is the best hope Jonas has to put pressure on Tadej even without a strong Sepp Kuss or Van Aert.
Still Iâd say Tadej is more likely to win, Jonas still needs to crack him. There are questions if he will have his usual edge in the third week, and rightly so. A lot of things has to go wrong for Tadej, but it can happen and that is the fun part.
Today a lot happened, but nothing happened
you kind of right, there is no change in the overall standing but this was a fun stage full of action and thrilling. i very much enjoyed it.
NBC/Peacock in the past have run on a delay the whole stage each day. Not this year, only will 3 days of complete stages. I will never pay to watch anything on NBC/Peacock!
its 6 bucks bro for the month. Cancel right after you buy the month.
Cheaper than cable... 6 bucks to watch this epic race every morning. 100% worth it.
Surprised at the vulgarity in this one. Love these videos, love them more when my children can watch. Stay classy TDF.
Why do they call these âExtended Highlightsâ? The race lasts for 4-6 hours and the highlights reel is 8 minutes long (and includes a 2 minute intro). đ€·ââ
Kinda miss Phil Leggett though...
Dommage que les rĂ©sumĂ©s d'Ă©tapes ne soient qu'en anglais maintenant đ«€
Tu peux changer la piste son pour la mettre en francais, dans les settings de la vidéo
Really wanted Jasper Stuyven to win. :(
Also this commentator does not care about pronouncing the riders names correctly.
No Vlasov crash?
Et Yates, Meintjes sont les seuls perdants réels du jour, personne n'en parle mais 10 putains de minutes perdues pour eux, on va sûrement les voir à l'avant sur cette 2e semaine pour revenir dans le coup

Who thinks taking an F1 racecar down a gravel road is a good idea? Thankfully all went well. It was an exciting stage.
Not gravel, just white roads. Race road bikes must deal with some rough tarmac sometimes, so it's not a big deal. Pavé is way worse.
@@MicheleGardini Sure looked like gravel
Absurd for them to criticize today's stage. Today's cyclists cross between vineyards and the French countryside with their super bikes and all the highest-tech customization. The cyclists of yesteryear raced on this terrain but in the Alps and the Pyrenees.
@@jarnold1789 yes, if your definition of gravel includes something you can also ride on a road bike. I have an endurance and I've done the Eroica and the Strade Bianche, it's just like a rough and cracked tarmac, nothing more and nothing less.
@@MicheleGardini Of course you can ride gravel on a road bike. You can also ride a road bike on mountain bike trails if you want to, that doesnât mean that they arenât still mountain bike trails. Maybe you missed the memo on this, but a gravel bike is just a road bike with slightly different geometry and clearance for bigger tires
Pourquoi la vidéo est en anglais et pas en français ?
Because there's so many more of us English speakers scattered around the world looking forward to these everyday. Almost every country has some English speakers. French has a handful. With respect, these highlights being in English has taken the following for Tour de France to another level! And we're very happy about it! As someone who has been following since 2008, I couldn't be happier to share this with more viewers across the world!
C'est en trois langues. Il faut attendre 5 minutes pour qu'il recherche la géolocalisation.

Pogacar with all those atacks will be exausthed for the 3rd week , and its exactly what hapend last years ...atacks and atacks and finaly lose the tour .....should be more careful to not be a last year deja vu
Yes, he should learn from last year and follow wheel
This is the only way Pogi can win, unfortunately. And it ainât going his wayâŠ
There is significantly abnormal recovery occurring.
Didn't like how Jumbo was racing (although smart and tactical). Not contributing to riding, esp massive attacks like when Remco and Pog got away. A tad boring.
Vingegaard is short two top class teammates this year. They need to conserve their options for the big mountains in the end. The Dane also has to use the first week or two, to "get in form" after being out for two months. Vingegaard is fairly smart. He isn't falling for Pogacar's trolling. :)
