My fathers Acer I7 2600 became unstable. Time to upgrade his PC to something way better! I gave him an I7 3770 with an Asus motherboard and Corsair Parts. Since he has this PC he didnt had any issues anymore! So a successful Upgrade!

I have I7-3770k. I won't change in next years. Strong CPU for my needs. Cooperates whit 16GB RAM and GeForce 1070.
Hey Victor, I think you should upgrade Windows to 10 anyway. 8.1 is just fine, but for security reasons and newer browser. Chrome has dropped support in 2023 and using it with (in example) online banking is not recommended.

Do the Win10 upgrade. There is no longer any support for Windows 8 or 8.1 for security and other updates from Microsoft.
Win10 is going to end very soon too.
