Me lembra Neil Diamond, excelente voz. Obrigado.
Wow! Bobby really swings for the fences on that last "NOW"! Pulls it off, too!
,,,Dear Music Mike , love your authenic sounding voice reminesant to the great and wonderful times lived here in America ,!!! thanks from all !!!#peace:{#sincerely
I'm getting a "Neil Diamond" sort of feel from this guy's music and voice. I've never heard him before now. He does have a Neil Diamond sort of sound in his voice to be sure.
Love it, got some play on the adult contemporary station I was working at for awhile. Too bad it didn't go at least top 20. Thanks for posting it Music Mike!
Thank you for this. A friend performed this song in her cabaret act in the 80's. I always thought it was an Amanda McBroom song and I could never find it!
Helen Schneider
I remember a woman singer did this song in the late ‘70s. Can’t remember her name, but I’d know it if I see it. She put a lot of feeling in it.
Could you be thinking of the great Helen Schneider ? Watch her "Send in the clowns" it's classic
Never heard of him and I'm from PA. God voice...resembles Neil Diamond slightly..in my opinion ! hanks Music Mike !
My Cousin..he also sang the theme song to Happy Days.. From Scranton
This song does not sound too familiar but it is a good one.
@cvueguy Bobby Arvon is from Scranton, Pa. His wife is from Halifax, Nova Scotia.
Music Mike, as i commented on this man's other song---- I confess, i've never heard of him, or his music. That said, I like him, but I'll admit, I keep asking myself just who he reminds me of. A little bit of Neil Diamond ?? -----and, Barry Manilow ?? --------------I miss those years, Mike; at 72 y/o, in 2019, I so wish we could return to those years ! ------------------WolfSky9, 72 y/o
ugh, surprised it got as high as 72.
まったくの無名でしたが、当時の音楽雑誌でアルバムが好評価だったので、注文買いしたのを覚えてます。日本じゃボビーのCD購入できないみたいですね。残念です。
I have always liked this record. It received local airplay here in Seattle. When it failed to become a big national hit, I thought it would have been a good record for Barry Manilow to cover.
LMAO. I was about to leave a comment about how this would have been a bigger hit if Barry Manilow had recorded it. No offense to Bobby Arvon - I really like his voice - but this song seems tailor-written for Barry. :-)
Or Avril Lavigne.
Avril Lavigne should cover this.
According to Joel Whitburn, Bobby Arvon is from Halifax Nova Scotia
cvueguy - Better to go to the Bobby Arvon web site. Bobby says he's from Scranton, PA.
+cvueguy Yeah, don't put a lot of stock in the accuracy of the Joel Whitburn artist bio info. I have caught many a mistake in their reference books.
That was corrected in the "Top Pop Singles 1955-2015" book. Bobby's bio reads: "Born Robert Arvonio on 9/13/1941 in Scranton, Pennsylvania. Singer/songwriter/pianist."
It's a shame that Joel Whitburn is as close as we get to accurate, especially considering his extremely biased views against featured artists; I don't want to call him racist, but that won't stop me from calling him racist. I don't know how accurate his bio info is because I don't normally care about that, but I do know he refuses to give even extremely well-known current artists like Bruno Mars proper credit for the songs they contribute vocals for because he has a major bug up his ass about Elton John not being credited for Neil Sedaka's "Bad Blood" some 40+ years ago. Very weird man to be the Billboard historian.
Bobby Arvon is from Scranton, PA. Take it from his cousin! AKA Turkeyess!
what happened to your vid of "From Now On?"...imo a better song than this one
frankie4you2013 It will be back up very soon. The video has a quality issue that I need to resolve. Stay tuned!
frankie4you2013 - It's back up now.....thanks!
DOESN'T SEEM TO DO MUCH FOR ME.
It's not bad just ok . I don't remember this song .
