- After the war the British Army helped Germany rebuild and started putting together VW from what was left in the Ruins of one of the most bombed factories in Germany.
Although this car looks like the later cars it is slightly smaller than the Bug we got to Love. The owner of this car, an ex Brumos Porsche tech came accross it as a completely rusted hulk. Realize that panels for these early bugs are non existant. - Auta a dopravní prostředky
I own this car now. Finishing the resto as original as I can. Already restored the instrument panel gauges. Put the correct fuel reserve lever in. Rebuilt the front suspension. Put the correct carb on and got it running perfectly. Still need correct bumpers and interior. Found 5 of the 16” rims. Little by little!!
I drooled on my tablet. Beautiful! Mine was born 13 years later. My 1st car was a '64. It was purchased in '75 for 500 bucks. Who woulda thought these would be so valuable. Cheers

Simply lovely engine
It amazes me so much that a car designed to be just one step above public transportation like a bus has evolved into such a cherished but basic car. If you ever watch the ORIGINAL VW German commercials many times it shows bus riders wishing they had a basic car like a VW, looking out the bus window and seeing a VW, my 1st car was a 61 in about 1972-73

what is it worth? I have a extra engine, car is a complete rebuild except gear gox that is in working order. the pan, frame ,axle ,gear box, front axle...all numbers match from vw records. I think it has a KD engine as I know it is a 36 hp but the numbers from original engine are on the case. runs great. this car wins every car show first place it has been. never thought about selling it...but price is right who knows.

I was waiting to see the engine and floorpan. Also, I noticed that the reserve tank lever was missing from down in the foot well; is that pending, or is it something to do with government safety regulations? The car looked breathtaking, btw!
I also noticed it had the spot in the carpet for it (metal grommet), but no reserve lever. I honestly don't know if the had one in 1951?

ICH bestize einen VW Käfer Porsche Bj.1958 Alles Orginal mit Winker und Blinker Sonderlakierung und einen Motor mit Holz 30PS und läuft und läuft bis heute super gut. Mein Vater war mit dem Wagen orginal beim Unglück in Legende dabei 1963.ICH fahre ihn noch heute am liebsten.

I would appreciate more distant shots of the car, since it is not fully appreciated. Close shots are very important but you should take far shots too and the engine was missing.

Yes. In some cars, it was a radio. The one I looked at last night, also had a clock and cloth seats and cloth herringbone door panels, same exterior color.

Não mostrou quase nada eu tenho um 1.500 fuscao 1972 anda mais que o.seu a data está errada ese fusca é dos anos 50 não 1974 como está marcado...

Les pares chocs ne sont pas d'origine, il n'y avait pas de flanc blanc, la prise d'air latérale n'existait pas, il manque le robinet pour passer en réserve du carburant. les baguettes chromées n'existaient pas en 1951, et beaucoup d'autres détails ne sont pas correctes. Il faut respecter le modèle et ne pas faire n'importe quoi. quand à la peinture elle n'a rien à voir avec l'année de la voiture.
richard, bien l'homme qui a fait cela avait tort sur l'année. il s'agit d'un 1952, début d'année où le ' un an sur les évents sur le côté de la voiture, refroidisseurs entrejambe. la peinture est le vert pastell d'origine. les pare-chocs sur cette voiture correspondent à ce qui a été enlevé de la voiture . le levier de gaz a été installé depuis lors. donc je le prends vous le trouvez indigne d'être sur vous tube. S'll vous plaît laissez-moi voir votre voiture mon ami. Je suis sûr qu'il doit être un meilleur exemple d'une voiture de 67 ans, bty Merci pour prendre un coup d'oeil. richard bowers

You can find the small vent doors in the side front pannels, only in the cars 1951 and few ones from the beginig of 1952...

well it is a working progress, found some original headlights since this was done. I think I will never be done....but always looking.
