Indonesia located really close to the equator that is why you can found volcano mount easily
You guys are wise and humble. Foreign hikers should learn from you, You used guide and porters. They are there to keep you safe and make your hike in unfamiliar forest become bareable and enjoyable. Many foreign hiker decide to not rent a guide and end up getting lost even dying in the mountain giving trouble to rescue team to find and most of them end up not able to come home. Thats so sad, and happened many time. If the ranger told you to do group briefing in the post or wait to do hike, do it. If they told you to go down at certain time, you go down. Being stubborn is not helping. The briefing session is when they gave you useful clues and hint to climb the mountain safely, sometimes there are very few spot when you can get water refill. And thats very important for your wellbeing up there.

Those porters are amazing, aren't they? I'm Indonesian and live near our own active volcano in West Java which is convenient to visit since vehicles can reach almost the top. Rinjani is definitely more challenging and rewarding.

Bro should've hit the highest summit. Starts at 1-2am from camp. And you have to be at the summit at 6. Absolutely breathtaking.. crazy hike thou with small pebbles you have to go through

@@kruehland1669 From what Jou tells me, you can keep your luggage at their office while you go on the hike and it'll be safe, perhaps Earpy could weigh in on this.

Y'all should start from Sembalun if you want to get to top of Rinjani easier, from there you also has access to 3 different paths to descending the mountain such as going back from Sembalun, or go from Torean which is really popular right now, or Senaru which is the place you started in this video.

one day when you're going to rinjani again, go to the highest peak, it's wonderful. Letter E track is not joking, it's very challenging but also satisfying at the same time. but Indonesia have a lot volcanoes, and each of them have their own beauty, maybe you can visit some others.
