NC-540 Phase 2, and Turbine Interchange (May 2024)

- An orbit around the Turbine Interchange at the junction of I-40, NC-540, and BYP 70, then onward northeast along the probable route for Phase 2 of NC-540. My route may not be exact but it is close, it will be defined once clearing begins.
Really appreciate these flyovers of 540, cool to see development over time and the surroundings.

Excellent video, as always. I had to look really hard to see E. Garner Rd hidden by the trees. And I guess Lee’s Collision on Hwy 70 will have to move or go out of business. Seems like it's been there since at least the 1970's.

The only information I can find, states Phase 1 to open Mid 2024, and that is from NCDOT. I think fall 2024 is more likely?

I get the music from CZcams, that way I know it won't be blocked, if there are royalties, they go to the music source, If I ever have something go viral I won't get any royalties, it all goes to the source. That will be a bummer, but that is not likely to happen.

Lots of beautiful land going to get wiped out by the new section, but that’s what they call “progress” 😢
The state always finds a way to revegetate the land, and is a top priority for them after constructing a toll road.
