True but it can never showcase anything in real combat scenario since they never had any real combat engagement hence even if they cover every training they had if they've never even experienced what real hell is, then there's no use in showcasing that.

But to speak factually, we are not without combat experience, we are heavily involved in peacekeeping, we are patrolling the Persian gulf, and the sea of Somalia. We are fighting ISIS, although not in the capacity of the US.
So are we experienced? No.
But do we have zero experience? No.

Don't care what other people said about Singapore Commandos. But as a conscript, I volunteered to serve as a fighter for the battalion when I can get posted to any other vocations that are much easy going to finish off my two years.
It is easier to compare foreign armies comprising of regulars that are much superior than our conscript based army.
But deep down in my heart as a conscript, I had given my best contribution to my nation and that's all that matters.

I wish they can have joint exercise with Malaysian's commando like GGK, vat-69, paskal and Paskau in Jungle warfare. I know SG commando doesn't unnecessary need one but why not, just in case.
That's true its unnecessary, what necessary is a real combat experience. Training is nothing as long as there's no application of it. A hundred inexperienced soldier vs 10 seasoned veterans well its good as a target practice for the veterans.

Just don't compare why Singapore's commando is different than other countries in S.E.A. region. Singapore are largely dense with urban terrain while other countries such as Malaysia, Indonesia & others are mixed with jungle & urban terrain so their training, hardship is different.
Each has different challenges.
They just want to spend with efficient cost. Not spend on something that don't really suit with their demography & geography.

Otherwise, they are just no difference with the conscript guy.
when you say commando, they're trained in all terrain.. like saf commandos in Philippines they are trained in the jungle and urban. but they are not soldiers but policeman, SAF is the elite unit of Philippine National Police. They also take Special Forces,Force Recon and Ranger training not only commando training.

Elite, at our place means they're only specify with certain type of operation while special force surpass the elite which they're trained with all types of operation even though the terrain that they were trained doesn't exist in our country.
For example, in Malaysia, both police & military have their own special force & elite team. Like Malaysian police have their VAT69 Komando as their special force while their UTK are their elite team which specify on dealing with the counter-terrorist & organized crime activity.

Well these conscripted commandos aren't comparable to the GGK commandos in ur country. The special ops task force here goes through the real training and don't get featured. Anyways neighbouring countries compare for what, we should help each other instead.

I have watched many videos and done some research on warfare and training of some elite forces around the world and think that they are much better than Singapore commando.
In our commando unit, we often hear about the usual expectation of being the fittest of all, IPPT standards are higher than mainstream vocation and must get gold. Trainings are physically tough and our commando always get the best combat unit and its considered as the cream of the crop.
However in the British parachute regiment, their training is very strongly centred on the soldier's inner character of aggression, combat fighting spirit and toughness. Max aggression towards the enemy and toughness towards pain. Before getting their red beret, they have to go through a brutal boxing fight,known as milling. The rule is that you and the opponent punch each other in the face at full force and you cannot dodge any hits. The activity often ends up with bruises and broken noses. The pain makes you stronger.
Singapore commandos trains ah boys into physically fit men, while the British paratroopers transforms raw recruits into warriors that are trained to kill.
Elite soldiers of other countries are similarly aggressive in close combat fighting.
In summary, our commando unit is incredible in fitness and combat tactics but is lacking in the inner combat character of aggression and combat fighting spirit.
We are conscripts bro and they are not.
Marines and paratroopers of other nations is already the most reasonable comparison that I can give to our elite forces. Below is mainstream.
Gideon Tay true but the reason for this is Singapore is trying as hard as possible not to get into wars and fights. That’s y all our SAF personal do more helping out in disasters and shit than helping out in wars. Singapore literally would help the civilians in war than help fight it so there would be no tensions with the other countries

Not even commando yet. those are just selection. they basically still normal army at the time
160 km in 3 days with 90 kg, backpack.only dozens survive
And that's excessively unneccesary. There is no real application to that in real combat. Running long distance with heavy load is part of the selection process but doing that for 72 hrs? What for? Look at PH army scout rangers, their final mission to be selected is to actually raid rebels' camps. That is more valuable than a 3 day run.

Commanders needs to learning to off fire 🔥 too. When scdf firefighters needs them they can also show a helpings ✋✋✋ few years ago. Our's don't know which oil 🔥 scdf firefighters and Singapore army co-operations together and off the firing. And one year one construction site on fire 🔥 and Changi airport also Singapore army and scdf firefighters co-operation together and off the firing. SPF officers take care the traffic there and helping to ask the people there where to running out to the safe place area

You should not judge because you have no idea what SG commandoes are capable of. They had rescued all SIA hostages unhurt when the flight was hijacked by terrorists years back. Malaysians are not aware of this because they are busy insulting and mocking at Singapore until their own flight till now yet to be found.
