The main reason why Tyson was so pissed i s because the those reporters were specifically asked/told not to bring up certain aspects of his past. And that reporter immediately asked about it.
Jenny learned a very important lesson that day. Never be rude, snarky, or insulting to a comedian.
The "boring" guy with the quick wit was the best.
Why did I think Tyson was running for mayor? I was like, that's a valid question when you are running for public office... I almost choked on "What Superbowl commercial?"
So he can rape, but we can't say he raped? He can do it but we can't say it? What kind of weird ass logic is that?!
@Fast_Eddy_Magic Mike Tyson included the rape conviction in his show, and in other interviews. I think they talk about the topics they are going to cover. Apparently, it wasn't agreed upon this time. You can talk about rape all you want and then he can answer you. He already served his time, btw.
People always correct me when I use the past participle as well. Gets annoying. Had a teacher tell me that mown wasn't a word. Not that I used it wrong, that it wasn't a word.
I wonder if anyone else tried to zoom in when Cohen showed the word snuck in the dictionary. Lol

While I'm not impressed with a few things in Mike Tyson's past, I am impressed that he soldiered up and took his punishment. Now it's over and that should be the end of it. Let the man be.

13:32 To be fair to the woman who claimed " 'snuck' isn't a word", it's only "recognized as a word" in the more modern dictionaries that take a more "descriptive" approach, listing whatever people are SAYING, even if only out of "ignorance", thus giving that ignorance the air of legitimacy that "prescriptive" dictionaries of not very long ago would not have. (A Merriam-Webster dictionary from 1961 agrees that "snuck" ISN'T a word - it's not IN that dictionary at all, even though I'm sure it was in use by some even then.) That said, I doubt anyone, including her, would not understand what is meant by "snuck", and it does seem pretty rude to point out the perceived mistake. And if we did not accept change, then we English speakers would all still be speaking proto-Indo-European.

Mike Tyson is a warrior. Don't expect a warrior to take you trying to punk him like that. I must halfway defend Jennifer Garner. I do not condone her tone or her attitude when she said that to Conan. However, she was raised in Texas. I, too, am a Texan who was raised not far from her hometown. When we were in school, our English teachers would go Exorcist Angry if we used the word "snuck". "SNUCK IS NOT A WORD. SNEAKED! SNEAKED! IF YOU CAN'T USE REAL WORDS, THEN GET OUT OF MY CLASSROOM!"
We heard that repeatedly. I still say "sneaked". It's traumatizing to even think of using " snuck". 😂
Her birthplace was Texas, however, her family moved to W. Va. when she was 3 years old. She went to school through college in W. Va.. I agree with you about using “snuck”. It just sounds wrong.

Garner was just unaware that snuck, the incorrect past tense of sneak, is just now so popularly used that it has been added in. Won't be too long before "u" will be in the dictionary for "you" either.
