Just built my first set using your template. I wanted to see this was possible and boom you have a tutorial. You're the man!
Thank you for your videos you are the best
Really helpful ! Thanks you
Thanks for watching
Thank you so much :)
Useful, thanks !
You're welcome!
Dude, you literally saved me so much time and nerves! When you sing, play instruments AND has to start/stop the playbacks - it's waay to much to control. Now i've got one task less, thanks! Subscribed 👌
Glad I could help!
I've been learning about Ableton for the past week or so, using the free trial to see if it's going to work for me for live performance as a keyboardist in a band. The way I'm planning to use it seems to align well with your tutorials and suggestions. So first off, thanks for this and your other videos! But really, how is it that "stop playback" is not already a built-in Ableton feature!!?? I guess it just isn't designed to run multiple songs (with pauses in between) in a single live set? This makes their use of the term "live set" misleading to me. There must be lots of us out there trying to do this. Ableton should consider this use case more seriously.
This video needs a Give button ! !! Thank you !!
thanks for watching!
Hope someone can help. I used your approach not to stop the global transport but to enable/disable global recording unlinked from the loop brace while the playback keeps on linked to the loop brace. I created a clip whose envelope sends a cc and everything's OK. But now, if I click on a portion of the time where the clip is, the global transport starts in rec mode and to stop it I have to play stop twice. This happens even if I click in that time portion but on any other track: any clue why and how to stop this behaviour? Thanks.
Hello, I have a midi controller that sends CC info to the computer but I’m not sure how to make the midi track/note match that in abelton! Please help!
Check out my video on how to send CC’s from Live
Dang u cuute bro
I’m having a little difficulty with the IAC driver. I have made sure it’s turned on in Audio Midi setup with at least Bus selected. I have made sure in Ableton Preferences that In: IAC has only “remote” selected and Out: IAC only has “track” selected. I created a new midi channel and when I drop down the output on the midi channel, the only options are Ext. Out, Configure… and Master. The rest are all channels in my session and IAC doesn’t show up at all.
If a restart doesn’t fix it, you’ll need to check your settings
@3:09 Loop EE1 ???? what's that?
Hello! When I assign IAC driver to STOP it works perfectly, except for one thing. I play keys live while the song is playing but when the STOP TRACK is played, my instrument track stops until I touch my keyboard again. The instrument sound stops, how can I avoid it?

Hello, did this get outdated? I just tried your tutorial for windows and didn’t skip anything, did it multiple times and it doesn’t allow me to map the midi
Dont work for me either
Make sure you click the midi note, its works now...
LOL dude I just have to say that you are way too close to the screen. Especially when I full screen you. I feel like your head is like 3 times the size of mine! I love your tutorials though and thanks for this one! Awesome job, and thanks for making laugh with your giant head! 😁
This doest work in ableton live 11. I did exactly what you said and doesn't work.
This doesn’t work on ableton 11

Why not just add a marker and name it STOP?
