I’m still having trouble even when my audio output device is set as my focus right Scarlet. Ableton doesn’t seem to recognize it. There’s no green light indicating it’s hearing audio. I’ve played with settings on the audio page, but it’s just not working and I don’t know where to go from here.

Hi Will @ 8:02 you mentiond that you could theoretically get signal back into your DAW. Do you have any advice/video to explain this please? I'm looking to send the signal from the console to my studio (about 60m away), do a live mix in the 'box' and back to the console. Powered usb extenders doesn't work and I can't find any way via ethernet cable.

I will be wanting to play a my synth live and singing while having my backing tracks play behind me. Do you suggest that I DI my synth into ableton and program the live automation along side my tracks in ableton live? And then run my vocals outside of ableton?? What are your thoughts on that?

Would you say that 8gb of ram is still enough if you are playing audio tracks and using midi for guitar and bass sound changes and lighting control? If not would 16gb be enough instead?

Using those locators in arrangement view might be more confusing if using a midi controller then session view. Playing songs strictly linearly might make sense for arrangement, but session view it must be better. Would you agree?

Hola amigos, encontre otra forma de hacerlo que puede resultar mas facil y practico. (Solo es cuestion de probarlo) Asigne al SET bottom a Key combinacion por ejemplo "SHIFT and M" (cada vez que apretemos nos añadira una nueva marcador) Si nos posicionamos en el TRACK de Markers donde ya tenemos los segmentos MIDI con nombres (Coro, Intro etc), Tenemos que seleccionar primero el track y luego tocar donde comienza el evento MIDI, (no seleccionarlo, solo tocar el comienzo) Luego haciendo "ALT and right arrow keys" pasa automaticamente al siguiente evento MIDI, y ahi presionamos nuestro "SHIFT and M", y volvemos a tocar "ALT and right arrow" y vamos pasando y añadiendo los markers. A mi me resulto una combinacion que rapidamente me permite añadir todo en menos de 2min. Espero les sirva como a mi! Saludos y gracias por toda la info de este canal. Son lo mejor!

Hello friends, I found another way to do it that may be easier and more practical. (It's just a matter of trying it) Assign the SET bottom to Key combination for example "SHIFT and M" (each time we press it will add a new marker) If we position ourselves in the Markers TRACK where we already have the MIDI segments with names (Chorus, Intro) we have to first select the track and then touch where the MIDI event begins, (no select) Then by doing "ALT and right arrow keys" it automatically goes to the next MIDI event, and there We press our "SHIFT and M", and we touch "ALT and right arrow" again and we go through and add the markers. For me it turned out to be a combination that quickly allows me to add everything in less than 2 minutes. I hope it works for you as it did for me! I got this problem but the button was activated in my case, so all was authorized and the microphone doesnt work. It works in logik and garage but doesnt only for Ableton. I upgraded my macOS version to the last one sonoma 14.5. I also moved from Ableton live 11 to 12 Is my macOS version too recent for Ableton ? I love using full drum modules like the TD-50 or the glorious TM-6 pro. The SPD is just hard to put comfortably around the kit. The spd for smaller acoustic shows is where it shines tbh. Easier to bring around and quick. But for sure a full drum module for hybrid kit performance!

This looked and sounded like a good idea until I saw the price, I don't get why it would be so expensive. I believe you need Max to run it, so that's another 125 bucks on top of the exorbitant price. Anyway a strong no from me.

Will the iconnectity 4c allow m e to transfer files directly from PC to ipad without the long workaround.? I am using windows on PC to running ableton 12 standard

Unfortunately, in doing so it turns off the automation I've painstakingly set up past that 5 second section. In this track there are 50 channels! Anyway to renable automation for all 50 with out doing so one by one (track by track)?

What if you just want to store your set in the cloud in order to save space on your hard drive. Do you have to collect all and save then?

I have Live 11, when I tried to do step 1 where you dragged "Master" over to see your time sig. and tempo, mine was named "Main" and there was not time sig. or tempo there... Any help there? thank you!

I have a 12. Very good piece of gear. It lacks 5-DIN MIDI, XLRs, & an internal power supply. These upgrades alone make the newer unit worth the price when one is ready to spend.

If you're looking at the Alesis gear bump up to the Strike Multipad. Much more robust than the basic Multipad. It's a slight step down in durability from SPDX pro but still very solid. I use the top three pads for start next stop then trigger internal samples off the other 6 pads. Internal sounds are better IMO than SPDX and a few hundred less.

hey! i'm still facing issues: i recorded something in ableton live 12 that i'm having trouble bringing into ableton live 11. any tips?

We've been using Ableset in my band for probably 6 years, our Ableton master set has about 60 songs in it so creating a new setlist was a big task before Ableset. I can also control ableset by using a bluetooth pageturner on my ipad remotely.

Long shot seen as this video is pretty old but I'm having a problem I can't find an answer for. I recorded automation via a vst effects plugin which recorded and played fine in arrangement. Saved song but when reopening it will sometimes play the automation then not and I haven't changed anything, driving me nuts! Any quick words would be appreciated 😊
