Panasonic VXF990 4K Video camera setting up zoom & zoom test 20sep17 pdf manual for it is here eww.pavc.panas... thats far more in depth than the small printed manual they give you in the box, ps that link was not easy to find ! , Always change quality to 1080p or original quality as CZcams default to a lower resolution so video doesnt look as good as it should ! I wonder if using a UV or Circular polarizer would improve the top end of the zoom.

guessing you have worked out the answer now...but just in case... 20X is pure optical zoom, any more zoom will be cropping the sensor, the i stands for intelligent zoom. only use more then the 20X if you really need it
