if there's one thing I hate its no knobs. There are so many times driving when I want to change the radio volume quickly for a variety of reasons in trying to be safe while driving. I can spin that knob in a micro second to where I want. I do use the steering wheel volume on the daily also but it functions slower as a push button volume always does. Touch screen volume is a fail for fast adjustments and you have to go looking for it. I can keep my eyes on the road and adjust volume in any of my cars just reaching blindly for the knob. You can't do that as easy or at all with touch screen and it takes more of your time and focus to get the job done. People can't drive safely as it is, why would Honda add to the problem. Just as an example the other day, I was driving and a listening to music fairly loud on the highway and I was coming up to my exit and I wanted to turn the volume down so I can hear all that is going on around me as I switch lanes and exit. Using the knob I don't even think about it or need to look at it. I just reach for it and my task is done in a micro second. If I were looking at my fingers and guiding them to the touch volume and then long pressing to get the volume down its taking more time than it should and giving me less time to prepare for my exit. Steering wheel volume is still an option I use in this specific example if I'm not rushed to my exit.
I have the lx 2016 and I like that I have those knobs and no touch screen. Too much distraction for me. I wanted a sunroof but since this is my very first car having a License I love it
How different is the rearview camera for the 2 models? It seems to me that EX has dynamic guidelines on the display while LX doesn't? And does either beep or anything when you're close to another car?
Hello Chad, I'm in the process of actually buying a new Honda Civic, right I'm thinking about putting down %33 as a downpayment of the MSRP if not after taxes and I was wondering about approximately how much extra would it cost to put leather interior in the civic?
I was wondering in the LX when playing the radio is it suppose to say the artist that is singing? When I press the radio, music is playing but the screen is black
Def gonna trade in my 2014 Civic LX for a 2016 Civic. Originally thought of getting an Accord but after seeing that it's going to be redesigned in 2018, I think the Civic will be a better choice because it has the new tech and platform... God I can't wait.
So I'll come out and say this guys if you want a idea for pricing on the lx model cause that's the one I have I am 21 with a credit score less than 600 full coverage insurance is ridiculous for my age it comes out to 300$+ and car payments are 441.55$ every month for my lx yes it is very expressive I had a better shot of getting a used pickup truck or suv
PerfectceII oh yeah I'm in the process of getting the car refinanced and in I found a really good insurance with State Farm I pay $200 for full coverage and a $500 deductible with renters insurance at the time I bought the car I put $5k down but like I said my credit is bad so none of that money went towards the actual car it was just to take it out if I would have learned from my mistakes I wouldn't have gotten the car but here I am a owner of a 2016 civic lx had it for a year and 2 months and I love it I cut the muffler off so I can have some fun ahah
PerfectceII no it's fine man so refinancing will extend your loan for smaller monthly payments.. my term is 78 months which is about 6 years after refinancing it will go up but monthly payment will drop.. and of course you can walk off the lot with the car if your worried about credit history get a relative to co sign with you so it will help you with lower monthly payments and shorter term.. the civic I have is a 2016 lx automatic.. if there is one thing I regret was not getting the manual in the lx but the 2017 civic now has a option to get a manual in any trim.. another complaint I have for the 2016 civic is the door panel on the inside is made of cheap material so when you rest your arm there it gets sticky but overall a great car great gas saver I was able to get a mpg of 46 and the car is only rated for 35
Getting my LX this Monday, so stoked
You get a lot of extra features in the EX, I think it's worth the $$$

As a Honda Sales rep I have to say that I agree with you 100%. The volume knob just works. Thanks for the input.
Practical Guy You dont need the buttom you have the volume adjustment on your steering wheel that is comfortably to reach with your thumb:)

It also depends on country assembly.
Because there is also a Lx that has sensor screen but no start stop button (just simple key)

I was not expecting to hear you say that you was located in Akron, Ohio! I live right in the city!
AK Rowdy!

It there's any possibility to change the lx stereo to ex touch screen?
yes
How
Fly not sure exactly but my dad switched out my brothers lx stereo to the touchscreen i think it costs 400 dollars though
@@victoriakline1270gotcha, I think I know what you're talking about. I've seen a few videos doing this install.
The wells is equal size?
The size of Lx is equal to EX?
The dimension is equal ?
what a nice guy

It all depends on the condition and miles
Thanks chad....
does ex have air vents for rear riders
Negative, but the car is still small enough to not make that much of a difference.
Chad Worrell which trim has them?I saw them once but don’t remember what trim
are these both 1.8?
there are no 1.8 engines anymore in the civic . . now its the 1.5 Turbo 178HP or the 2.0 158 HP . . Both Lx and Ex have 2.0 158 Engines.
I think I would rather buy an Accord that’s a year or 2 old rather than a new civic.
Didn’t mention eng or transmission 😂
They both have a small 5 inch screen. Not worth it.
