Who needs drugs when the groove is this good?
The thing w the Necks is - If you like the first 5 seconds, it's safe to say, you're gonna love the album
That was the best damn mushroom music I’ve heard in years!!.. although wasn’t quite sure about the dinosaurs
Their ability to stay so locked into a groove for so long is incredibly admirable.
Go see them and have your mind severely blown, I promise
Just stumbled on this. Wasn't sure at first. read the comments and decided I should wait a minute. glad I did.
Found this way after the fact. So happy I did. Good God. Awesome.
I am only now discovering this artist and this song for the first and wow, just astounding.
Same here.
The necks are magick..when I witnessed them live .they played for well over an hr .but it mysteriously seemed like a mere 15 mins .
this is what i needed to hear at this exact moment, thank you so much
Best of Necks!!!!
What a wonderful find! I wanted something ambient but jazzier and less pessimistic than Eno. This hits the spot!
What do you find pessimistic about Eno?
@@michaeltoole8010 try Thursday Afternoon, it's a very long bummer! Also Neroli depresses me for some reason. Still there's plenty to be thankful to the mighty Eno for! I especially love his two albums with Cluster and all his work with Bowie!
@@narasimha7187 Thursday Afternoon is quite good
in a silent way - miles davis might also be for you, very much the same continuous, low key groove
@@mrfrisk007 Seconded.......Also 'Riceboy Sleeps' by Jonsi & Alex is ambient bliss
love it😍😍👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻⛵⛵⛵⛵⛵⛵🌴🌴🌴🌴🌴🌴
still listening to this record regularly. once again, thank u kowboy. legend.
still listening to this record regularly, thanks Kowboy! really gotta try and see the necks live this year.
Recommended to me after listening to The Ghost Trade by Camberwell Now. I suppose the album covers are kind of similar, and they are also a three piece band. Really good albums ..
you've done the world a favour mate, this is amazing

Geoff Dyer brought me here.
Does anyone know the artist that did the cover?
Also what are some bands/songs similar to this?
Tom Stitt on the front, Martin Kirkwood on the back.
This band does neither Art for the sake of art, nor of Art against art but for Art which has nothing to do with art, because the Art has everything to do with existence🕊
shut up old man
Sip
Art, is a term which requires a prerequisite.
This moment now, is not dependent on any other. As such, being in the moment does not have the quality of prolonging or perpetuating. Qualitative ideas, limit the true experience of now.
Word salad
Can you slightly deconstruct your premise?
As a Art History teacher, I'm confused on your ask.
Does anyone know who made the album art? It's really good
edit: did some digging, it was Tom Stitt, can't find any of his other work
Probably someone's five year old son...
instruments very far away cymbals very close Dinosaurs also in mix
