absolutely gorgeous, I agree with those who think that this 4 CD "monster" is easily comparable with the Necks' better-known albums, like Drive By, Hanging Gardens or Aether

Sometimes you just have to step back, not think, just listen and feel. Music is so glorious. When I die, I want to be reincarnated as a musical note that plays for eternity.

Jason R I agree with you sir, when you judge or put expectations you loose the feel and the journey. I guess this is the true listening experience, letting the music melt you ;) This is nothing and everything combined :) the necks the cult.

I read somewhere that you can actually put the ashes of your body on a musical record ...I like the idea.

This was the soundtrack to my reading The Wind-up Bird Chronicle. God only knows how many times I've repeated this track.

Had the exact same thought when I saw them live in Berlin in April of 2007 (seen them a few times by now). Felt like the ocean. Always the same, yet... not... when you focus. You notice the changes clearly if you skip ahead in the track, but not so much if it just flows "real time". Beautiful. This is my favourite track by them. Don't know how many times I have heard it. My mind and soul digs this, he-he.

A very engrossing piece that to my ear is strongly influenced by Iranian classical music.

If I had to hesitate a guess, I would suggest that it's the classical music of Iran. Google also suggests 'Persian classical music'.
