  • Is hijab mentioned in the Quran or no? If so, then in what context? What does Allah mean by khimar? What about those who say it was only for the Prophet's (pbuh) wives? Dr. Yasir Qadhi discusses it in detail here.

Mr.Qadhi, do you remember the impromptu street debate we had at the ICNA fundraiser in Lone Tree, Colorado? At that time I perceived that you were very intelligent but not necessarily honest. Now it looks like your honesty is constantly getting you in trouble. Your honesty is even poking holes in your own narrative. I fully expect that, if you have not already, soon you will be an apostate yourself. God Bless

U can still cover your bosom without an headscarf as many women do so today . I suspect at the time woman wore some sort of headscarf, but left their cleavage exposed. Understand the verse in that context

Islam started in Mekkah and Mekkah is located in the desert .. of course everyone (men & women) in Arab lands have to cover themselves from the sandstorms and extreme heat,...Everybody in hot Arab lands were covering themselves long before Islam came, it's the weather 🤣🤣 In North & South pole, everybody there cover themselves from freezing cold , it got nothing to with any Religion.. it's the weather... It's simple logic 🤣🤣🤣🤣.

even China, America, and Europe countries have deserts and dusty warm weather! so why they do not cover themselves from the sandstorms and extreme heat? It's not logic, it's your illogical humiliating statement! Arab men also wear Jubba and cover their heads but Muslims all over the world don't wear Jubba and cover their heads with al Habibi scarf! because it's cultural but the hijab is not cultural it's from God! Because all Muslim women from the world wear hijab, unlike only Arabian women! Even Christian nuns wear hijabs! so according to your logic, they lived in Arab in past?🤣🤣🤣 and for you, modesty only occurs when the weather is hot then why nudity does occur when the weather is cold? Hijab is a mandatory religious practice, I said religion not regional or cultural! You didn't read the Quran that's why it seems to you as a cultural practice! You just humiliated yourself with a silly illogical comment!

The message is clear: women should not reveal their hidden adornments (breasts). No mention of covering of the hair.

24:31 And tell the believing women to reduce [some] of their vision and guard their private parts and not expose their adornment except that which [necessarily] appears thereof and to wrap [a portion of] their headcovers over their chests and not expose their adornment
      Saheeh international
God does not mandate hair covering in the verse. God mandated the covering of our private areas. Hijab was already culturally worn and God is directing women to use the cloth flung over their back to cover their breasts. Don’t innovate.
What did Adam and Eve cover once they realised they were nude?

@@Natalie-fj7fs I understand where that comes from but if it was just any cloth that women had to wear, Allah could have said that. Instead he orders women to draw their headscarves over their chests, suggesting the headscarf is also part of what you must wear
