As per my knowledge now this project is run by Maharashtra Government but few days before somewhere in Pune our Central transport minister Nitin Gadkari mentioned in his speech that Maharashtra CM Udhav thakre requested to him for takeover said project by central so it can easily financed and easily becomes part of national highway , so it can joined to newly constructed Delhi Mumbai road in future. Delhi Mumbai road will be ended at Mira road as per old proposed plan. but as per new plan Nitinji wanted to join it to NH 66 and NH 4 via proposed sea link at worli and thenafter to navhasheva trans harbour bridge at shiwdi. Further I have got informed that CM and Dy.CM of Maharashtra had a meeting with Nitinji regarding this extension of sea link and upgradation of it's up to National highway ,so Central government can finance the said sea link project. We hope so this project will be in fast mode.
