Much needed video, had one of my tackle boxes stolen/lost a few years back and I was sad for days.

I do the same thing.I recommend to avoid high crime areas. I monitor my boat & tackle with S&W 9mm. Love the baby monitor idea.

Great video Glenn, I made my own Locker Bar because my wallet is shallow. My electronics always go in the truck at night. Usually people feel sorry for me when they see my old BOAT and don't assume there is anything of value in it. LOL

I like the baby monitor idea. I unfortunately moved to a house with no driveway space and have to put my boat on the street before going out. Someone undid the strap on my battery but luckily they didn't steal it!!

Great tips. I use them all except the bars and the baby camera. My favorite tip was regarding the fishing gear & electronics possibly not being covered under the boat ins. I'm calling tomorrow to check my policy.

I'm currently working on changing all my latches out to lockable ones.. Yes they only keep honest folks out but it helps me sleep at night sometimes!! I have my own ritual of locking everything down and I would express to everyone make on like your pre-launch!! Good tips and great video!!

Great advice, solutions & info. I have a 20’ cable I thread from trolling motor, over lockers and back to the trolling motor. Helps me sleep at night when I am on my fishing trips.

Its is a shame that we live in a world where you have to worry on the daily about your belongings being snatched. Not by the snot nose kid down the street. Avoid high crime areas (I know, right?), and get a simple plastic placard stating: "BEWARE OF PET RATTLESNAKE". Simple, Easy, and EFFECTIVE! The baby monitor is another BRILLIANT idea!

good advice will keep it in mine
That is why I usually only do day trips with my boat. When I do stay overnight I use a baby monitor/camera and the backup camera from the truck to keep tabs on my stuff. There have been occasions when I have put the sleeping bag in the boat too.
Larry Stokes when I go camping and take my boat I usually have everything in locked up and then I sleep in it with a tarp over so I don't have to set up a tent lol
