Out of Bounds has been hot topic in the Crucible, so I went into Solo Freelance Trials to see if the hype is real. I've been flawless just over 2800 times in Trials so I also tried to give some commentary to help you guys in your own matches. Enjoy!

I was the Cloudstrike guy in this video :) Just wanted to clarify, normally in 3v1s i do like to "guard the rez" just to farm super to make future rounds more secure, hence my lack of push in that round. However seeing how hard you pushed the last guy, for the rounds after I backed you up. Also at about the 8:00 minute mark you were kinda roasting me for not using my Titan shield and instead pushing the guy... you can see I had already used my shield like 5 seconds before, and had shot the guy in the head twice. He was very weak, I was full health, we push that.
Not getting your rez initially, I dont really have a defense for. I wasn't sure exactly where their rez was so I was trying to get an angle on it to get a greedy double kill rez snipe with cloudstrike. Spoilers, I didnt have an angle from there and the last guy was basically on the rez from the moment I got out of my shoulder charge kill animation, so I didn't have much time to readjust. Absolutely should've gone for the rez but went for the greedy play, messed up, but recovered really well imo.

@@HaveYouMetLynk bro I think you did solid the res is always my focus and often I get clapped for trying to get the res and mess up the whole round because of it cus numbers make sense 2 guns is better than 1. But I think you clutched it out good shit bro

Great video. Played trials for the first time last night with some buddies who were trying to coach me, but it was a lot of what I did wrong and vague what I should've dones.
This video helped a ton on how to approach to game mode and how to stay aware of team engagements

I do love these commentary videos - you get an idea in real time of some strategy, tactics and thought processes with a viewpoint very much like you're in the game.
Radar, sounds, positioning etc.
While I'm no-where near this kind of skill level - it's stuff I try and file away and attempt to use if the situation calls for it.
I caught part of this live on stream and later that night actually used the 2v1/3v1 collapse on the lone opposition player rather than my default "guard the res". And I swapped to spike nades on this map over the usual vortex/wave nades.
Going to try Forerunner/smg later as I've been dad-rifle-ing it a lot.
Mind you, an explosive round scout can surprise people trying to heal up behind a wall etc.
I do enjoy your commentary videos but for some reason this was one of your better ones. 10/10 enjoyed
I also really love the commentary, I wanted to find a high level trials player for a long time that I could watch and actually tell what was happening. You also have a very similar play style to mine so I really like adapting your techniques into my own gameplay, you’re awesome Jake, keep it up.
Freelance has been so painful, I've been playing pretty well and winning some games but good lord so many people tbagging. Like, people will tbag when you are losing, have a teamates that leaves, it's so frustrating.
You kill someone once and they take it personally.
Happens a lot to me as well :( haven’t even gone flawless.
Is freelance all solo players or do you verse teams?
@@Promisent All solo 3v3 in freelance, no fireteams allowed just all random. Not sure if SBMM is there or not but I'm facing all sweats who have gone flawless like 100 times maybe because for the first season ever I'm averaging a positive 1.8 KD in a season or that's just the way it's this season IDK lol

Really cool to see we think very similarly. Just went solo flawless the other day and it was a blast tbh. Easiest flawless of my life ngl.
In Destiny, if you lack the mechanical skill to play like the pros you can make up for it with tactics and strategy. All about knowing how and when to engage to give yourself the biggest advantage. My tip is learn how to use the weapons you love the most and when they're most effective and always try to put yourself in those situations.
Something Cammy Cakes once said thats stuck with me is "Dont play their game, make them play yours."
Solo Flawless is a lot of luck. Bad teammates can really screw you over, but honestly, it's way easier than trying to Flawless against Squads with an LFG group.This is the first season I've played since they've added Freelance and I'm loving it! LFG is seriously a nightmare for Trials.. you either get cocky assholes that kick you if you do bad one game or you get people that suck.. pick your poison with that one.
Yup, I've never had a good experience with LFGS in PvP and PvE. They either have zero clue whats going on, or scream at you for wiping/dying that round. It's pretty horrible in the current state of D2

Yeah it’s either luck of the draw on teammates or you have to play very very good and just carry them through, I just went flawless yesterday

I got my very first flawless playing freelance last season and got my 2nd one yesterday freelance. I guess its just luck when you have good teamates and knows how to support each other.

At 15:45 where you lose the gunfight because you get flinched up, hit the crouch. I don't need to explain the benefits, but I notice you don't have that as a reflexive response to standing gunfights. Great video and I also enjoy the commentary.

The ornament on my forerunner is bugged. It’s the same reticle whether it’s on or off which is stock…any tips?

Freelance is something different. Sometimes I'll have teammates that are top tier, then I have little tommy using a pve loadout, the occasional medic titan, or the ridiculous electric slide warlock. Somehow by sheer luck I got to 6/7 otherday will still flawless. Safe to say I just waited till my buds were online. Freelance is wild an I love it

The Kinetic Pizzicato SMG can roll with Perpetual Motion + Range Finder, and can reach up to 22 meters in range. I’d highly suggest looking for a good roll on it, as it would perfectly pair with your Beloved.
Even further with fragile focus range finder
I have that roll but I fucking hate the scope so I just went back to multi mach

I did trials for the momento instead of the bow this weekend
if you are using a lightweight frame weapon you should drop your mobility to 80 and use those stats somewhere else, otherwise you are not using the +20 mobility the frame gives you.
But then you lose it as soon as you swap weapons and if you dodge while you don’t have a lightweight it takes like an extra 10 seconds to recharge…
@@tylerorlowski3147 uhh no it doesn’t, it kicks in as soon as you swap back. So just switch to it while not in a gunfight to get it back faster

How do you hit hard cap so fast, man? Like sure, I’m trying to hit it on all 3 of my characters, but it feels so impossibly slow. What am I doing wrong?
Playing all three characters helps you get pinnacle cap pretty fast. You do every pinnacle before moving to the next character, transfer the highest weapons over and do it again. Then at reset you start from the highest character and do it all over again down to the lowest. I usually hit pinnacle cap in the first couple weeks so I can just focus on raids and pvp for the rest of the season.

A lot of people wait til the end of the week to get pinnacles that way ur getting them at higher levels each time and as u infuse ur stuff the next pinnacle reward could be 1 or 2 level higher. Now all my pinnacles are in the 78 to 80 range so almost to where most stuff will be max light level
@@JH-vb1wo doesn't matter what time of week you do them, just that you get as many of them done as possible before reset so you're maximizing your light level. Certain pinnacle activities only give +1 drops and others give +2 to +3.
@@samgarcia9643 no problem. I've played this game entirely too much over the last 6-7 years. Outside of doing the hardest content like master raids and GM's the second they drop there's really no reason to rush the pinnacle grind and burn yourself out. Just have fun and play the way you want to.

They could do a crucible lab with a crucible control/clash with no abilities. That’s be kinda interesting. Might need to be a 4v4 or 3v3 so we didn’t end up with all Lorentz lol
I got a question, why do 900rpm smgs hit for 19 a crit and sometimes they do 17 a crit
There’s two types of 900 rpm frames. Lightweight like multi Mach or funnel web which do more headshot damage overall. Then there’s adaptive frames like hero’s burden that do more body shot damage overall hence why the 17 crit.
I learned how to 3 Peak from Homelander Jake in D1.
