I was buying this game regardless (excited for my scrunchies from Walmart), but I liked the demo a lot. I think for someone like me who loved games but is bad at them, this is perfect
Played the demo and really enjoyed it knowing it's designed as a fun casual game - but mainly excited for the cosplay opportunities! Can't wait to make a swordfighter Peach outfit! 🤺
I was a little worried they were going to dramatically change Peach's Character, but they did a good job capturing her sweet personality while exploring more of her fun side.

Characters in Mario literally don’t have any character (maybe except Luigi and Daisy)
Peach's character is getting kidnapped and making cakes for Mario because apparently Nintendo didn't see an issue with that.

Not every game has to be Dark Souls, and not every Mario game should feel like Champion's Road.
I think it's incredibly charming, looks great, and is fun to play.
Only downsides are the price tag and the loading times (Which have always been questionable with Good Feel games).
Also, I want to support more Peach games.
Yeah, but Nintendo is usually very good at making games that have a little something for all skill levels. I just hope that as you get further in the game it does that.
@@jstoffer111 I actually think with this one the 100% completion is gonna be as challenging as it gets, and I also think that's just fine. I'm ready to take a break with a breezy, fun romp with Peach in between the 100+ hour games we're playing

The game looks beautiful, the gameplay looks fun, but the sound design is what I'm loving so far. From the music transitions on the stage to Samantha Kelly altering Peach's voice with the outfits. Amazing work.
This feels like it might end up overpriced but the demo is pretty cute. Gonna stick with picking it up. Typically with simpler, Nintendo titles they do throw in some different late-game things that might help those looking for a little more challenge. Mostly though, I don't want them to fear making anything Peach centric ever again, lol.
I'm scared that they'll only make things like this for peach though? Small, relatively underwhelming titles. Instead of big adventures with a lot of effort put into them.

I can tell you for sure that if there is no interest/purchasing, they will not assume it's because people are waiting for such a title.

I thought it was pretty good. It maybe is directed toward a younger crowd, but still fun.
I'm digging the background on this one guys (the stage curtains). It had a really nice look.
I hope you can carry over your progress to the full game, the pastry one is really hard and it took me multiple tries to get all the stars and I wouldn't wanna have to do it again in the full version.
I just played through the demo and I had fun with it. The gameplay reminds me a lot of Mickey's Magical Quest on the SNES with the visual charm and light humor of Luigi's Mansion 3. Is it simple? Sure, but it doesn't need to be ridiculously complex. It seems like it's exactly what I thought it would be; a cute platformer romp with fun transformation abilities with a character we already liked.
And Peach has the power to heal! I love it.
Definitely looks enjoyable. I think some people might have an issue with liking some rooms more than others, for example the Sword fighting room looked more fun than the cooking one so I look forward to seeing what the other rooms will be like.
I'll give the game a fair shot when it launches.

Anyone in favor of Waluigi Showtime? Seriously, he needs a game. I hate to see him getting no love from Nintendo. (That was my thought when I saw the trailer.)
Nobody cares about purple luigi. Nobody wasting time or money or a filler character thats only popular due to stupid memes. What would the game ever about when has no personality nor a origin to begin whit? This is peach time don't come in here making it about another character. This is why nobody like waluigi nor his annoying fans.
I actually think Waluigi is long overdue to have his own game.
Serious question: Why do so many people like Waluigi? He seems very forgettable to me.

kinda reminds me of Yoshi’s story on the n64 which as a like 10 year old, i hated. i’d only ever play it when my friends and i had to watch the younger kids in the group because it was an easy game for them. as an adult, i LOVE Yoshi’s Story. kept playing it in college because it was easy, silly and colorful. this game seems like a simple wind down game after a long day at work.
I liked it, it's giving Luigi mansion and Yoshis crafted world vibes with its on uniqueness.
Yeah, the demo was pretty ... whelming. Not terrible but not good, it just kinda exists. Probably a great fit for a parent introducing games to their kid, but beyond that it doesn't really offer much. And there's of course nothing wrong with that; this game isn't trying to interest adults, and probably does a good job for its target demographic.
It should probably be a $30-40 game though. $60 is pretty absurd.
Its feels very underwhelming because this is basically a kirby clone. Good thing I never planned on buying it. 😂

I played the demo also and loved it. I didnt expect it to be massively long of course because why would they give to much because they want people to buy the game. Im glad they didn't show us to much but just enough in this demo leaving me wanting more and more excited than ever to play this game in full. The characters are just adorable and I'm excited to see all variations of peach and kick some butt it looks like a really great game for all ages.
I planned getting it 'cause the trailer seemed so noice but the demo really hold me back. And somehow I get FPS stuttering quite bad while in lobby.
Nintendo needs their demos to be more open in my opinion. I know they want too much of a game in a demo, but they put in way less than what a demo should be. This one is pretty short, and Mario Vs. Donkey Kong's was WAY too short. Pikmin 4 was their best demo as of recent in my opinion. You got some good playtime in and didn't go too far in the game, but I know this is a game-by-game situation.
As a Mario franchise fan, I'm definitely adding this to my list. It is not Mario Odyssey but I put it at the same category of Yoshi's games or Captain Toad. I like that they kept Peach essence from the video games and didn't change her to the movie counterpart (even that I also like her movie counterpart, I do too like her on the video games). I will definitely get it day one to bring the support and they keep making Mario games.... Hopefully a proper Wario Land game or who knows maybe a Bowser game!
I got 10 minutes into this video before I stopped and decided to download the demo myself (and then came back after I completed the demo). I vaguely knew of this Peach game coming out but didn't really give it much of a second thought, but after playing this demo I'm really looking forward to this game! I like the 'structure' of the story and how creative it is! She went to the theatre as a spectator but she ends up taking on the lead roles herself to stop the nefarious Grape!! (Still iffy on this Grape character though). But still awesome! And that montage at the end showed the different mechanics that could come about with the different roles she stars as. So it was kinda' disappointing that neither of them paid much attention to the end and the possibilities of the other personas (riding that wave to collect coins, lasso on horseback, ice skating...and it wasn't much, but based on how they ranked the different Peaches recently, I thought Krysta woulda' been more excited to see that mermaid bit). I'm not much of a Mario fan but I really, really enjoyed Odyssey. So if you liked that game, I think you can easily get into this too.
I missed that single star in the first stage and had to go back to complete it. And I missed several in that sweets stage. It was challenging but fun. When I played it I thought of those cooking games (which I know Kit has expressed his disliking of), so I was hoping that they'd trade off and Kit would play the second half of the demo. haha
Pains me to say this, but if this demo did anything, it scared me from buying the game.
I love mario games and I was actually looking forward to this game, but after playing the two levels contained in the demo, I was just bored.
The game is not necessarily bad by any means but my first impression is that I am not its target audience. I don't mind an easy game (heck like Kirby is super enjoyable), but this felt TOO basic for my taste.
Maybe I will pick it up sometime, but for the moment I am in no rush to spend 60$ on this.
Target audience seems to be children or VG journalists 😅

Checked put yhe demo yhe other night. Nice graphics. Reminds me of a paper mario vibe. Demo was too short. On the fence about it. It was gun what I played but hope ir offers deeper exp and gets harder. Honestly the replay value comes on to getting the sparkle gems. Really hope it offers tons of levels. I am feeling it will be a very short lived experience and will blow through it. From what I played it was very very easy. I will wait for reviews. $60 for probably a 5 hour game is a bit much.
My expectations were very low for this game and the demo, but the mechanics ended up feeling really nice so that let me enjoy it more than I expected. I will not pay $60 for this, but eventually may want to come back to it
This game was made for my girlfriend. I think she'd like it. I couldn't play the last Yoshi game because of how simple and boring it felt, but she loved it. So this seems right up her alley. She also liked Captain Toad, which I didn't.
Adults are definitely not the demographic for this one. My 3 year old niece would love this game.
My daughter liked the demo very much. It might be the first video game she gets into that also isn’t to hard.
I liked the demo but the levels were kinda short, so hopefully the game doesn't end up beiing 6/7 hours.

Seems like the demo should have showed one bit of stage progression at a minimum so you might understand how the levels evolve? What Patisserie Stage 2 like?
Otherwise I find it hard to assess. Is it puzzles mostly, action sometimes? I still don’t know.
Games definitely catered towards younger girls, my 6 year old absolutely loved the demo and can't wait for the full release. Not every game has to cater to adults lol.

Are all levels 10ish minutes long like in the demo? I wouldn't want the game to be over after only 2 hours. Getting all the sparkles doesn't add much time either.

Kit and krystas faces at 05:53 really summed up my whole experience playing the demo haha it’s not bad just underwhelming for anyone who’s played any 3D mario game you know Nintendo can do much better than this in my opinion.
the frame rate being locked to 30fps with frequent dips to 20-25 is kinda dumb, but other than that i’m excited
This might be sacrilegious to say about an upcoming Nintendo game but it gives me big Balan Wonderworld vibes. Both aesthetically and from the gameplay/costume mechanics 😬

I played the demo. Beautiful graphics, solid play control, but not for me. Aimed squarely at younger and less experienced gamers. Makes Mario Wonder look like a From game.

I find the conversation about games being designed for kids interesting. A lot of the best Nintendo games were designed for kids, and they were by no means boring. This was a boring experience
I know this is basically irrelevant because it’ll never happen because the price will never be dropped this low but I’d pay $30-$40 for this game. $60 is definitely steep

I’ve always been a fan of Princess Peach, but this game isn’t worth my time. I want something more substantial these days. I reckon it will still be a good, fun experience for many though.

I was interested in this game after seeing the trailers, but I played the demo and I can safely say this game is not for me. It's extremely basic and seems directly targeted at young kids, which is totally fine! But there doesn't seem to be much to this game. It's very easy and shallow, and for $80 CAD, I will definitely not be picking it up lol

I was a little interested in the game but the demo definitely showed me this ain't for me LOL. I don't mind easy games, heck, a lot of them are incredible, but this gameplay feels incredibly dull. The price tag doesn't seem worth it either. The presentation is awesome but I'm not the biggest fan of the voice direction tbh

Lol that’s why I never preorder anything. Its not like this game is as bad as most of the overpriced, unfinished games coming out today, but I agree it’s better to be safe then sorry.
My two complaints so far are: the game looks really crappy in handheld mode, and there should be a way to replay parts of a stage or at least skip dialogue faster.

I grew up on Nintendo games and I like Princess Peach (Daisy > Peach, though), but, in all honesty, this game doesn't look fun or engaging at all to me.
...But I also totally get that, as a 34-year-old male, I am not this game's target demographic. lol
At the end of the day, some Nintendo games really are just for kids. The presentation is quite nice, though.
A lot of Nintendo games are aimed squarely at kids but that doesn't necessarily mean the quality is lacking. The world just feels incredibly dead, the basic mechanics are far from seamless and the framerate is all over the place. A poor effort if you ask me, regardless of target audience.

I tried playing the demo last night, and I couldn't finish it. I was so bored. I am clearly not the target demographic for this game because I am, in fact, not a 5-year-old. It's a very well-crafted game, but it has to be one of the most piss-easy games I have ever played in my life.
I had very low expectations for this game and it did not disappoint. Princess Peach deserves a better game. I hope you all enjoy the game and that it sells well though.

I was not impressed. I thought this was going to be a full platforming adventure with powerup costume like Kirby games but it turns out some stages are just mini games where you bake cakes?
This….does not look fun…I tried a bit of the demo but I just didn’t like it. Think little kids will love it though. My wallet will thank me.

If the game was free and in front of me on a long road trip, I'd play it and enjoy it. For money and playing at home? Not really.
