I wanted to point out that I did this ocean ride with a full 35 qt cooler and 2 rotopax mounted to the OEM Cargo Rack. Figured I’d report back on how it holds up. The Engel 35qt cooler fits perfectly with the oem cargo net and stays in place, also my wing nuts holding strong for those following that.
JD, approximately what was the distance of that ride and how much fuel did you use?
I ride inland lakes in MI and my '22 Ultra 310LX goes through gas so quick.
What mode are you riding in? How fast are you accelerating? Is the ECO indicator on? If you want to conserve fuel, you must select MPO which maxes at 61mph about. Cruise on plane, around 45/50 mph. Also accelerate very slowly. You can get about 100 miles out of the tank before buzzer comes on.
If you get 100 miles before buzzer that is great. My older Kawis still have about 5 gallons at the buzzer. Is that true on your 310? Is low power setting similar to your Ultra LX in speed and acceleration? Heard it is 60% of power so should be around 160hp I am guessing.

I had the helmet lol just it was so damn hot it was oppressive especially with the helmet! I had it on most of the ride, pulled it off at some point to talk

My ultra 310x acts like a OceanGate built ski. But yours doesn’t seem to have that problem
How much do you weigh? How many lbs of gear in the front? Make sure ski is not overloaded, then move your seat back to center peg (add adjustable seat bracket) and add a pump wedge and you’ll be golden.

I wouldn’t personally spend my money on a SeaDoo or any BRP product, but that’s just me. I have not ridden a new RXTX so I can’t really give you a honest comparison…
Do you get much water in the hull?
A fair amount when slamming around in the chop, I have the Unlimited PWC automatic ball drains, so the bilge stays pretty dry though.
What does your oil temp get up to during long rides?
Recently this summer it’s hit as much as 235 degrees. Usually (not summer) it’s right around 220 after some hard full throttle bashing
@@JDsWaterWorld right on. Thank you!! I saw 220ish yesterday during a long ride with water temp at 85F and outside air temp at about 97F. Was just curious if that was normal

I got a question, I have a 2023 ultra 310x and when my fuel level gets to 2-3 bars left when I am goin full power and let go if gas it cuts off, is that even ok? or its something wrong? Any one else has this issue?
and it bogs down from the start sometimes with that much fuel, I put 15 gallons in after todays ride, so 7 gallons should of been there , that should not happen
You have an issue, that is definitely not normal. Cuts off as in stalls? Or just hesitates?
@@JDsWaterWorld when going full speed and letting throttle off, it shuts off completely, I am guessing all the gas going away from fuel pump or something like that, but is I am to try to launch it it hesitates , and than goes good
I just have 24 hours on it, just did 25hour service my self
Well I would ask if you changed the spark plugs, but that sounds like it could be loss of fuel pressure- possibly a defective pump - I would take that back to the dealer for a warranty claim.
