    Awesome videos, so where are you going to MedSchool? My son starts MedSchool at VCOM Louisiana Campus next week. Congratulations to you and your wife in your journey in the Medical Field. I just subscribed and look forward to seeing your journey. Prayers for you and your family.

    I’m looking at doing the smp at LMU in Tennessee. 2.82gpa, mostly from lack of effort and not knowing what I wanted to do until it was too late. I’m definitely a different student now and I’m highly motivated. Do you think it’s the right step?

      Based solely on your gpa, yes.

      Good afternoon! is it generally possible with a gpa below 3.0 get into SMP, I read on the Internet that they do not take lower than 3.0 in the SMP? I have not studied in the USA before, only in Germany, but in the same situation with GPA.

    Would SMP programs be appropriate if I have a low gpa and haven’t completed the majority of the basic science prereq’s such as Orgo 1&2 or Physics 1&2?

    • @ERdoctorMike
      @ERdoctorMike  Před 3 lety +2

      You’ll need to complete those to even know if you need an SMP or not. Just do well in those classes and you won’t need one.

    Are online SMPs seen the same to adcomms as in person SMPs?

    • @ERdoctorMike

      I’m not aware of online programs but I wouldn’t recommend an online program.

    Have you heard of cases of students excelling in SMP's, only to not get accepted into that school? If so do you have any advice on how to avoid this?

    • @ERdoctorMike
      @ERdoctorMike  Před 3 lety +2

      I don’t really know anyone personally but like I mentioned many of us were put on the waitlist before being accepted.

    • @yousafilyas3987
      @yousafilyas3987 Před 3 lety +2

      @@ERdoctorMike What was the reason for initially getting wait-list? Did they simply want to see if you would continue to do well in the courses?

    • @ERdoctorMike
      @ERdoctorMike  Před 3 lety +3

      I have no clue. I’d say 75% of people that interviewed were waitlisted and then eventually came off.
