    Just a scrub in the sink after and seasoned it and came out like that?! That’s awesome! Do most require more work after the electrolysis than this one? I have an old pan in the shed that I want to try it on now lol

      That’s right! If it needs more work, just put it back in the tank for an extra day!

    How often do you switch out the water? Or does the crust float and you just skim off the top?

      Yep! Removes rust, oils, paint, and built up food/carbon

      If you use a separate lye bath first, your electrolysis tank will stay a lot cleaner. He has a video on that step.

      I have seen generic cast iron cleaning videos that use borax. But it seems about all the restorers of vintage cast iron use washing soda, i.e. sodium carbonate.
