I was so bummed she sold out so quickly! I'll try for one again tomorrow (Friday) But my FOMO was so bad, I went to eBay and ordered two from scalpers. 😞
The new Skullector doll is gorgeous. You have to remember the Gillman doesn't wear clothes, so the minimalist outfit makes sense. And Universal had to sign off on the design as well. I think they tried to compensate for the lack of accessories with the stand. Most Skullector dolls are $65 now so I think it's pretty fair.
Please re-release the drama reels again. And first edition of them 🎉🎉

I think she's gorgeous. The face sculpting and an amazing shade of green. I'm a fan of the old school monster movies and this is great to collect. The price is a bit steep but I can understand it due to licensing from universal.

I love the universal monsters and the movie Creature from the Black Lagoon was a favorite. I can’t wait to get her! She’s absolutely gorgeous!💖This doll is absolutely worth the $65 price point.
I love the elegance of her. She SEEMS simple but it is a very elaborate sculpt, understated in monochromatic tonality faithful to her lethally camouflaged father.. Who would have thought that terrifying fellow could have such a beautiful, sophisticated daughter?

Sold out fast and I purchased 2. They were already preselling online for over 200. Buying these dolls at retail is a steal. You can pretty much figure all these dolls being worth double within the first 6 months. This one was double prior to selling out.
If Reel Drama comes back, we better get it in the UK.
I love Creature, and The Shape of Water is my favourite movie! I can't wait to get her (crosses fingers for us). I think Creature fans appreciate the understated details on her that focus on sculpt and the simplicity of the design that pays tribute to the original Gillman.
She is pretty, but g1 was pretty this way being playline. The sad of movie based dolls is that they always will be more expensive for the licensing. Hope they do one of Nosferatu, since he's a public domain character/movie 😅
I would get her but it's too expensive for me because for some weird reason she costs WAY more in Euros than in Dollars(€81,- without shipping). It's like they want to discourage international fans from buying.

I like the "creature from the black lagoon" doll. I agree, she is beautiful. I love those boots. I do think if she had some black or brown colors lightly highlighting her, she'd look more finished. Ive seen the original movie and think she is a good rendition. I agree the reel drama situation was dolly trauma for me. It actually made me stop wanting MH for a bit. It was a terrible customer experience for me. I feel mattel has gotten better. Hopefully its a better experience for all of us. Peachy you always have the good tea!
I hope they one day do a sideshow line in honor of P.T Barnum.. I know they did a circus.. but would be cool to see a siemiese twins, lobster 🦞 claw women and other oddities.. that would be cool

The only thing that I wish they did for the skullector is give her something to cover the elastic band. Or give her a green one, the doll is $65 if its cause of inflation and the custom base then atleast cover the elastic, but I do want her she is one of my favorites and probably the best from the universal monsters

The creature is SO cool. But as someone who hasn't been a skullector collector and isn't a horror film buff I feel i want to give those people a chance first. After all I have no emotional connection I just think she's super cool. So if by some miracle she doesn't sell out THEN I might get her. I love the custom stand I wish collectors got custom stands the time I love this
Reel drama getting announced for a restock would be a godsend. I got my two from targets website. They were never ever in stores and I tried for all 4, but they sold out so quickly I never could. They also were all for sale at totally different times. I'm pretty sure I only got mine becuz I was up at 3am checking
I don't know why but the vibe is the new skulltamimt secret dolls that are supposed to come out soon... like that is all I see. I don't have any of the skulletor dolls but that to me is just this ones vibe. Plus I just got ordered my Jennafire doll. So like I don't need her.

She own the lagoon. And they couldn’t add mooooore to herrr. I think giving her a fin down her head and spine woulda been cool. And making that flowy fabric longer and ombré. A staff or something that they can hold. Giving here a pretty crown. So much they coulda done considering you can’t just exactly copy the character is based off. Monster high gets the fashion aspect that’d be cool to really get into.
Giving her a flowy sleeeeeve or playing on some fishermen’s net purse or something
I've basically started to limit myself on collecting. Have decided for this skullector line , I'll get one monster type of each doll. So, the only other release other than the creature is the Sanderson sister's because I love the movies number one and number two the first hocus pocus movie came out in my birth year. Also for reel drama lagoon next year gonna get two if rereleased for body donors for peri and pearl.

The Black Lagoon doll is gorgeous, but I think she could have used at least one or two more accessories. Maybe a purse, a hair ornament to match her “fin ring”, or a prop of some sort. Her outfit is fine to me, although I would have painted the harpoon ropes on her heels (I didn’t even realize there were ropes acting like ankle straps until I looked as that close up photo) And maybe paint her finger nails as well. Actually, maybe a multi-tier necklace would have made the bodice look better. Maybe reeds or ropes to match the heels?

As a mh fan, I'm surprised of what they did for the creature. The creature from the black lagoon is very plain Monster. 60 bucks is not bad. But I do agree. Accessories are everything. And that helps the. The buyer want her more. I know I gravitated towards Pennywise because she had the Paper boat from the movie and plus it has my name on there The boat.. It was just a given.😂😂
I literally just bought Reel Drama Draculaura yesterday. I didn't think her price would ever go lower, & I've been eyeing her for a year or more. I just started collecting MH when they came out & was only thinking of G3 at the time. Oh well, I don't regret it. Well, I can get the other characters when they release.
I like that Mattel is expanding the universe, sick to death of Frankie and Draculaura, but I miss the cool purses and more clothes on the doll. The stand is cool. But $65+? Naaah.

I can see why they didn't give her more than a body suit. She's a lizard from the swamp. The stand is unique. Don't know what else you'd give her. But the budget probably went into that scale body & paint ?
I think she is pretty but plain....the bathing suit is screen printed. They could have had least made the plastic pop with some emerald paint to make the scales pop or a maybe a sequined train....she needs some shine! The pop is missing.....The creeproductions offer so much more for much less.
