The caroony facemolds on the ghouls look amazing. However, on the mansters, they just look so freaking weird.

I really like Kuma in the new Monster High show and I think it’d be pretty cool if they released a doll of him 🥺🥺🥺 Same with Barkimedes, he gives me bender envy 👉👈
Also idk if there are enough dolls for each color yet, but it would be a cool idea to rank the Rainbow High dolls by color when there is enough of each. For example, ‘Ranking all the Pink Rainbow High Dolls’ or something like that.

I think Porter is the best G1 male doll as well, he's the only one I've seriously considered buying so far! I don't know much about the show/movies either, I think the blue colour schemes on e.g. Gill and Billy generally look nice though. I like what I've heard about Valentine and I think he's really cool in concept but unfortunately his outfit design falls a bit flat for me and I agree that the hair on the doll looks bad, as much as I want to like him. I do wish there was more variety in silhouettes for all the manster outfits.
Ugh why did Valentine have to be an SDCC exclusive?? I would have loved to have him 😭 He was so great in the movie, and I know the creator had big plans for him!
Also, yeah, that pic of original Holt was way oversaturated! His skintone is much less electric than that. Like a lot of the MH dolls, I don't think the stock pics do him justice. I wasn't able to get original Holt when he first came out but I wanted him so bad, and I finally got a good deal on an in box Holt a couple years ago! He's very special to me now despite not being a favorite character 😅 He has so many awesome details!
I really love that you did a ranking of the mansters. I do agree with the fact that they are for sure less detailed in general compared to the ghouls, the designs are lacking a lot. Tbh I only like a few of the Gil dolls and G3 Deuce. In general I do want to like male dolls tbh but I never do, the designs always disappoints me cause you can see that they didn't put in nearly as much effort.
Yes! I love the idea of male dolls but I feel like they are more frequently off putting. Like the lack of detail here, or the bizarre RH molds. The boy characters deserve just as much attention!

I would like a lot of these dolls more if they didn't have weird face sculpts. Like sometimes their head is so big it looks like they got attacked by bees 💀

My problem with boy dolls especially from Mattel is just the plainness of them (like the boring shorts and shirts) and when they aren't plain it's just "here have all the tacky patterns in one doll!"
This extends to Ken as well. We can't save Mattel from themselves.
The more dressy mansters in general are my favorite ones but the fashion is definitely a sign of the times... peak 2012! G3 Deuce hasn't been spared from the tacky patterns either.
I feel like whenever there's a boy doll, they just go with a rough sketch version of the design instead of trying to refine it and making it look really cool 🙃

I really fully outed myself in this video 😂 I used to play years ago and then picked it back up recently when my carpal tunnel was at its worst because I couldn't do anything more complicated with my hands than use a touchscreen 😅
Oh boy here we go I have very strong opinions on a lot of these boys:
Perfect: NEIGHTAN ROT!, Kieran valentine, Garrott, dawn of the dance deuce
Good: slo mo loves not dead, Jackson Jekyll, invisi billy, hoodude I love that they did it at all even tho they cud have done it better, hexaciah steam he has way more details going for him, love on wheels gil, shriekwrecked Gil, skull shores gil, dance class gil, 2 pack gil all gils are similar to me, original deuce, 2 pack deuce, boo York deuce
Good but not for me: slo mo student council, portergeiss I like him but his face practically disappears in person, schools out clawd, sweet 1600 clawd
Mediocre: slo mo ghoul spirit, save Frankie Jackson, invisi billy maul monsteristas, holt Hyde, welcome to MH deuce, scaris deuce, ghouls alive deuce, music fest clawd
Bad but it gets worse: picnic casket Jackson, gloom beach Jackson, swim class holt, Finnegan, dracula, winning werewolves clawd
Burn it!: Manny Taur no no no don't like his face sculpt don't like the gi joe body nope, every heath doll ever I hate heath so much, scarnival clawd, pack of trouble clawd
In regards to the character of gil I wouldn't listen too much on the negative stuff ppl say about him unless you actually watch yourself and draw your own conclusions. Gil gets the rep he does for having super racist parents and struggling with how to deal with that situation and still date Lagoona. Gil never does anything truly mean or bad himself but becuz of drama with his parents people blame HIM for being toxic. It's a story that really has to be watched all the way thru you can't take bits and pieces out of context. Some people argue he should just perpetually ignore his parents or tell them off which 1 he actually does try to at one point and it ended poorly and 2 ppl forget these are still high school students they're all minors and need their parents.
The worst crime ppl have accused him of is cheating which is a blatant lie. Gil gets asked by the ghouls to help Lorna mcnessie becuz she's shut herself off after a breakup and won't come to a dance. Gil offers to take her as a friend and yes the episode even calls it that, to help her feel better (also he's being egged on by the ghouls as it's happening) and Lagoona shows up at the dance back from a trip and misunderstands. Literally seconds later gil explains everything to Lagoona and she says that sweet and forgives him and they spend the rest of the dance together

I think the reason some of the dolls looking plastic-y is off putting is because they look more like action figures than dolls Particularly Manny.

Hey sweetie I’m thinking of trying to do some facial repainting on a rainbow high doll; I know you can’t obviously redo the eyes, but the rest of her face. If you have any tips on the best type of paint, etc I would really appreciate it 😊. If you ever decide to maybe do one yourself, I would love to see a video on it 💜. Take care and see you soon.

This is just my experience, but I use acrylic paint! I like Basic brand since it's fairly affordable and not to bad quality wise. Any brand should work though, just with lower quality paints you might need to use layers to get the opacity you want.
I also water the paints down just a little bit as it tends to make them a little less thick on the face.
I've seen other people have success with guache paint as well, but I haven't tried that...if you use that you'll have to let me know how it goes!!
And if you end up posting repaints anywhere I'd love to see them 🥰

Because I know nothing of the mansters (I started noticing MH when they were on their way out and no mansters were in the stores), this whole time I thought Hoodoo Voodoo was a Scarecrow manster! I think I like Hexachaia Steam the best out of all the mansters but for the most part I don’t think they’re really for me (I’m not generally into boy dolls though). That being said, I’m really looking forward to the G3 Clawd (though his facial hair should have been more prominent on the doll), and I like him more than the G1 Clawds (he seems way too old and hipster in the G1 versions). I really like the character in the new show, though, so maybe that’s why I am excited to have him in doll form.
Clawd's base doll looks so nice for G3! I just don't care for his clothes so I'm kind of torn on getting him 🥲
@@FaeryTaleDolls I think his clothes are similar to what he wears in the show (but it’s been a while since the last episode so I could be wrong). Hopefully more mansters come out so you can get his doll but put him in some other clothes!
11:29, HooDude's doll is one of my least favorites. They could've done so much better with this plush doll. I mean, his button eyes aren't even real buttons! If it was a regular release I think it would technically be ok, but it wasn't, it was a Comic con exclusive with Scarah. They basically made HooDude's only doll a collector exclusive and couldn't even bother to give him real button eyes. I don't know why it bothers me so much... but it does.
As a character, I think HooDude could actually benefit alot from a g3 revamp. With people becoming a bit more conscious about how Voodoo is portrayed in media, changing him into a Poppet that Draculaura created would be really cool to see. I just really want to see them do this idea again.

@@FaeryTaleDolls fr!!!! I downloaded it a couple months ago and I'm completely obsessed. It's a very well designed game that uses its resources wisely and makes use of all the gameplay functions....plus I love how creative they encourage you to get! There's so many options!!!
Porter guist is amazing i absolutely love him. Hes just so so expensive 😮💨. My faborite is mannytour but god hes so expensive too 😂. I dont know im slowly regrowing my collection (i got rid of all my monster high dolls when i was a kid) so now that these are like in the $100's im like damn
Why is Dracula yassified 😭 I also hate the OG Deuce design because the skin tone with snake hair feels wrong to me
G1 Deuce is so much better than G3 (I usually prefer G3). His face is handsome and outfits are cooler.
