What size of warship and how many should be logical considering that the Philippines is not energy independent and it's budget is tight. RP cannot accept donations of huge warships like the Ticonderoga which weigh up to 10,000 tons and are over 560 feet in length. The perfect warships are the Rizal, Malvar class which range from 2400 tons to 4,000 tons and have a length of 330 feet to 400 feet. The crew will be about 100 per warship, maintenance and operational cost will be expensive and arming each ship with all the missiles, torpedoes, etc will cost about P1 billion per ship. Be prudent in choosing the right warships, the number of these along with the MRF fighters to defend the skies above, submarines to defend below the waters and missile systems to be installed on these units and along the coastline and military bases.
