The Japan Self-Defense Forces, also known as the Japanese Armed Forces, are the unified military forces of Japan. Established in 1954, the JSDF comprises the Japan Ground Self-Defense Force, the Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force, and the Japan Air Self-Defense Force. They are controlled by the Ministry of Defense with the Prime Minister as commander-in-chief.
Since the end of the Cold War, and particularly into the 21st century, increased tensions with North Korea,[9] China, and Russia have reignited debate over the status of the JSDF and their relationship to Japanese society. The JSDF have prioritized greater cooperation and partnership with Australia, India, Taiwan, South Korea, Singapore, the United Kingdom, and the United States, as well as acquiring new equipment and hardware.

元自衛官だけど何もかも不足。防弾着も全隊員どころか足りてなく旧式でさえ足りてない。おまけに武器も未だに64式が主力の部隊もあった始末。兵器類の充実も良いけど個人装備ももっと目を向けて欲しい
たまに撃つ、弾が無いのが、たまにきず・・・
小銃は20の配備に期待ですが防弾着は早急な課題ですね・・・
陸自に64式が主力の部隊なんて無くね？

現場が求めるものは、戦車や野砲兵みたいな高性能な装備とかじゃなくて、被服とか個人装備とか、トラックみたいな堅実なもの。そういうのが充実して、初めて強い軍隊と言えるんだと思う。
兵站を軽視するのは昔から変わらないね
とはいえ大規模な陸戦になる時点でだいぶ詰んでるし、最低限水陸機動団とかほかの精鋭部隊が整備されてればいいと思う。平時からそれをやってるのは米軍くらいで歴史的に見てもほとんどの軍隊は大部分が旧式の二級線装備で最新鋭の装備を持っているのは一握りの一級線部隊だけという状態で戦争に入っている。むしろそれがシビリアンコントロールの元あるべき軍隊の形で、なにもない場合は純粋に金食い虫だから削れるところは削る。重要なのは実際に戦争に入ったときにそれに対応できるような形をある程度持っておくことだと思う。それにしたってやりすぎるとナチスや旧帝国軍みたいに戦争を前提にした滅茶苦茶な経済になるし、バランスが難しいよ。

@@user-mm5cw3wv3q 結局それが嫌なところだね。実際戦争遂行のみを考えると全体主義国家の方が有利。民主主義国家はいかにして全面衝突で消耗戦になるのを避けつつ国際社会で支持を得られるかにかかってくる。

Article 25 of the Japan Coast Guard Act means that the Japan Coast Guard does not possess training and equipment equivalent to the military. The Self-Defense Forces Law is also based on civil law and is nothing short of terrible.
JASDF don’t operate T-3 now. They operate T-7 today.

I have been waiting for a video of our country's Self-Defense Forces. I am very happy!
I was surprised to see not only the SDF, but also the Coast Guard and the equipment that is being researched or planned to be procured.
However, some ships and equipment that had already been decommissioned were listed, or cancelled plans were noted.
(For example, Komatsu's new armored personnel car was cancelled in 2018 and the Patria was subsequently chosen instead.)
I would have also been happy to see mention of plans for an expanded version of the Mogami class.

(The treatment of the Coast Guard in times of war is still being debated in Japan, and the Self-Defense Forces are not yet ready for the law. However, I believe the reality is that when the time comes, both the Coast Guard and the SDF will have no choice but to fight.)

海上長期勤務に対する、特別手当や家族保障など充実することが急務。個人装備日用備品に対しても、現状あまりにも手薄。特に有事、国内法、海岸線公園法、港湾使用、道路規制等、現状法規では有事には多くの混乱と作戦遂行に多くの支障をきたすだろう。土日は地方の市役所など機能しており、それらの使用確認許可申請等の法的手続きなど馬鹿げすぎています。

数年前に予備で衛生訓練召集されましたが、止血帯CATやっと方面の衛生部隊に支給されと、あり得ない…全一般部隊の支給何時になることやら…
10年位前には救急品袋と中身セットで更新されてます
基本的に師団隷下部隊が先ですし、方面衛生隊なら第１戦救護じゃないし医官居るから不要じゃないですか？
個人の救急品は装備されていましたが中身がお粗末でしたね、方面と言ってもこの地域は最大の衛生部隊で、
予備衛生訓練は全地域から召集される唯一の部隊ですので教育的にも装備が早くてもと思いましたので。
その後の訓練ではシミュレーション・ラボで人形(当初、初期型トムマン)でさまざまな訓練でした。
当時国家予算の部分で人命軽視の時期だったと思います。

私は戦争中の国の出身で、よく理解している。戦争初日に100人近い警察官が死んだのは、軍事学の知識がなかったからだ。しかし、だからといって、軍隊の予備軍として警察官とその装備を使うことを止める人はいない。だから、予備防衛力として軽視することはできない。
戦時には、撃って撃てるものは何でも使われる。
日本は他国と違って自衛隊にしろ、憲法から規制が強く戦時法が有りません。
驚くかも知れないですが自衛官が他国の兵を殺したら弁護士の団体が裁判にかけると脅しをかけるレベルです。
その中で海上保安庁はあくまで国土交通省が管轄する警察機構で偶発的な正当防衛以外で正規の軍と交戦したら逮捕されます。
それに軍ではないと法律に明記されている為、戦うと民兵と同じ扱いになります。
一応、自衛隊法の緊急措置して一時に指揮権を自衛隊に移す事は可能ですがかなりのハードルと調整が必要です。
下手すると政権が終わるレベルの難題です。
現実的に考えられる台湾有事でもギリギリの所までそういう措置は取らないと考えられますし、使う場面はほぼ負けが確定しているか、偶発的事故の時と思われます。
準軍事組織としてカウントするには行政、法律からみてもかなり心細い組織なんです。
日本特有の問題で海外から見た時と日本人から見た時の印象が全く違う事は理解してください。
