after watching several videos. I'm a former MRI spec. major. weird you went from fasting to creatine. Creatine is not healthy, while you sugest bone broth. while fasting now your worried about the gut now. Yes when you fast you will have a fecal poop episode. creatine will do more harm, because yes you are storing more water. Creatine needs at least more water consumption than ever it's not the healthiest substance. Creatine destroyed me because that stuff made me gain weight more than ever. Bad idea i would this at all cost.

I have started drinking 3-5 grams creatine in (half glass water) x2 during my 8 hour night shift Which is included in my fasting hours 8-12 hours during evenings. I'll usually nibble of seeds/nuts/1 fruit till I get home, Usually eat breakfast pre workout -every second morning then every other workout is afternoon, Both times I have a post shake + 5 grams creatine.
I have IBS so I began eating sensible foods/ meals that are gut friendly x2-3 times a day Then after a curcumin & ginger tablet in case of discomfort. I suffer inflammation and chronic pain flare ups. Is somewhat better now i have changed my diet and lost some weight

I'm just a random guy on the internet, but I would assume creatine would inhibit autophagy to some degree. Autophagy is activated when AMPK is activated, and AMPK is activated when the AMP:ATP ratio is greatly increased i.e. when nutrient deprivation reduces the efficiency of ATP restoration. Creatine helps turn AMP and ADP into ATP. Therefore, I think creatine would inhibit AMPK activation to some degree. However, this is just my best guess.

I'm not a doctor, I'm a guy on the internet. Hahaha
    Thanks so much!
Man, I've been looking for something like this and I love how you reference Peer-Reviewed Articles!
As for my journey with Creatine and Fasting, I've started IF the past year and a half and done some extended fasts of up to 2 days.
I've started taking creatine over the last month and I'm taking a really cool stack from USN, is there anything that I should be concerned about when taking a stack on a fast over pure HCL or Mono?
As for the dose, I'm taking a high dose because I'm still engaging in HIIT training during my fast or Surfing and yoga on other days.
This is the stack per cap
    - Creatine HCI: 1000mg
    - Creatine Nitrate: 800mg
    - Creatine Monohydrate: 400mg
    - Creatine Ethyl Ester HCI: 800mg
    - Glycine: 1000mg
    - Taurine: 200mg
    - Magnesium Chelate (20%): 300mg
    - Beta-Alanine: 200mg
    - Alpha-Lipoic Acid: 100mg
    - Bioperine (95% Piperine Extract): 5mg
I would love to hear your thoughts on this stack and some of the additions to it.
eg, Piperine extract is so interesting regarding uptake of other active ingredients aka bioavailability. -> always have some black pepper with your Turmeric.

It's quite a bit. If your doing that for "loading" don't lol
Take it in a small scoop that it usually comes with. Which should be 5g. The instructions say "do a loading phase" but according to a lot of other fitness instructors, it's not necessary. Just being consistent is fine to have and may take awhile for the effect (weeks I believe) to kick in. But this way, you don't run out so fast, and you build a consistent routine. And routine is gold, keeps you on track.
      Best of luck!

Creatine is the MOST studied supplement and it is safe to consume. However, if a person has a pre-existing kidney problem or their family have a history of problems, then yeah, too much creatine could be an issue.

    • @MicaSmash
      @MicaSmash Před 3 lety +1

@@andrefaaa Of course, anyone who has a family issue or genetic sensitivity to creatine shouldn't take it. However, Thomas Delauer is speaking to a broad audience, almost all of whom should have no kidney-related issues if they decide to take creatine. There are many things that Thomas Delauer says and does that will have exceptions for some people. Take me for instance, most of Thomas's fat-burning and carb control advice mean very little to me when it comes to burning fat, because I have a super-high metabolism that allows me to diet practically however I want without fat-related repercussions. Nevertheless, his information is very helpful for my relatives who have more normal body types, therefore I shouldn't just discount all of his fat-burning science simply because it doesn't apply to me.

Skinny fat sounds like a possible fatty liver, high cholesterol and things of that sort. Since I kind of fell into the same category I started cutting WAY back on sugar, alcohol and unhealthy oils. This has helped me. Intermitted fasting is great too so long as you do it properly and eat nutritionally dense food during the mealtime window. As a trucker it might be tricky --but if you can start an exercise routine that would sure help. Oh yeah, and fire that dietician. Btw, I'm now 59, 5'8" and 155 lbs. I still feel a little heavy for my height but I think that's mostly psychological. I'm now able to jog 3 miles every other day and really enjoy it.

Hey Preston. Don't worry, take a deep breath - you will get there. Change one thing at a time. Remove all sugar first. Then don't snack in between meals. Have 3 solid meals. Then start changing up your meals so you're eating more healthy fats (butter, olive oil, coconut oil, avocado, healthy cheeses), and increase your protein (eggs, meat) and up your vegetables (no potatoes or corn). Really really bring down the amount of carbs you're eating. Then consider intermittent fasting x3 a week. Drink more water. Start doing a half hour walk each day. All of the above - will make a very big difference. Wishing you all the best.
