    I just started taking creatine and the first things I noticed immediately upon taking it one hour before resistance training.
    - more energy
    - less fatigue
    - no post day muscle soreness
    - muscles bigger during training; more swole!
    - increased focus and cognition.

      It’s not metabolized like say caffeine where you get the effect right after ingestion.
      It’s at the cellular level so it has to be consumed daily to get the cells to the level where effects are realized.
      So it doesn’t work like ‘pre’ to give you the boost or effects right away its built up until it saturates the muscle cells and you keep taking it to keep them at that level once they reach saturation.

I've already ordered and received my creatine, but I chicken out trying it everyday. 😔 Even though I'm female, I've read about creatine used in muscle disease and they didn't mention it not working for females in any of the articles or studies. I cannot wait to put it in my whey protein isolate shake this evening! I realize it can't hurt anything for me to try this. I just pray it will help, eventually. 😊

    Creatine causes hypertension!!! Reported side effects are dizziness because of the high blood pressure that it causes. Anxiety because of the high blood pressure. Can’t sleep cos of the high blood pressure. Headaches because of the high blood pressure. Heart palpitations again due to high blood pressure! It is dangerous stuff. This is the link with the kidneys which has always been a concern. Because the kidneys regulate blood pressure and creatine causes them to Malfunction by overloading them and impairs the function of the Baroreceptors that are on the kidneys which regulate blood pressure. It’s a dangerous supplement and nobody talks about this. I wonder WHY?

    • @coffeetalk924
      @coffeetalk924 Před rokem +2

      @phoenixrisin2269 the optimal level of potassium is easy to get from fruits and vegetables. On the otherhand, the RDA for magnesium is 400mg for men and 350mg for women. Unfortunately, lots of people fall short of these daily doses because it isn't so easy to get that level of magnesium from food sources these days. In case you're skeptical of that claim, try counting your milligrams of magnesium everyday for a week.
      One of the reasons it's extremely important to optimize your magnesium while taking creatine is that creatine uses magnesium for ATP production. I think that alot of these people who claim to be "creatine non-responders" are actually deficient in magnesium.

    If vegetarians don't get any from their diet does it make an omnivore diet superior? I would say yes, except the omnivore diet only includes 1-2g of creatine, which is not enough to make a difference unless in strength or cognitive effect. Unless you are supplementing, and once you supplement both diets are in the same camp.

    I knew creatine immediately before my workout had a distinct effect! Only caffeine and magnesium have had such an immediately remarkable effect for me. All sorts of other stuff has been rather "iffy," with some substances seeming to help long-term. I take taurine and citrulline on faith, but I can't say I notice the difference. Same for carnitine.

I'm doing one teaspoon a day with my protein shake and if on work out day, take it post work out. Might try pre-workout with water one time to see if it makes a difference.

      I have not heard of it increasing blood pressure. It does increase water in the body, but not in the way that salt does as the water weight added due to creatine is in the tissues and not the blood. So I think based on what I have heard from experts, including those who have addressed side effects.

Vitamin B1 is almost 100% destroyed when cooked, there’s studies on it. Vitamin B1 just so happens to be one of the most prevalent deficiencies too 🤔
