      Thank you. I mentioned that in the tutorial (the clown pass) but I didn't render any mat id for this image, but sure, it should be easier with a pass to make the selections in photoshop. You still have to tweak the edges of the mask manually because the AI changes the geometry a little bit (especially in the case of hair and plants)

    Instead of making the mask manually, you can use the render ID and in photoshop select the improved carpet with ID, make the mask and overlay

    Very helpful! I'm a retired architect with a small solo practice using SketchUp and Enscape, but I'm getting on board with Krea, too - very interesting. Workflow and, honestly, return on time invested in an image is critical for me, so figuring in time polishing an image with Krea and Photoshop (which I am very new to) is a challenge, so far.
    Workflow, workflow, workflow (can you tell I'm an old-fashioned American" 😀

    Am o mica intrebare: Enscape are setare de beveling?

    • @Modulusrender
      @Modulusrender  Před 2 měsíci +1

      Salut, nu are momentan. Bevel e facut pe modelul de SketchUp cu un plugin (round edges)

  • @matiasnone
    @matiasnone Před 7 dny +1

    You can export material ID in enscape, it's easier to make a mask without cutting it out manually

    • @Modulusrender
      @Modulusrender  Před 6 dny

      In this case it wouldn't work so well because the AI adds details in the image that are different from the original shape in 3d (in this case fur, extra beveling at the edges etc)

    Normally we wont scale 10 times all the model just for the carpet !
    It dosent make sense...
    instead ENSCAPE should make the carpet matarial highet start from 0.0 !!!
    When use KREA for finalize the carpet we can do the same with a non scaled carpet (with a bump map) result with KREA will probably still be good right (?)

    • @Modulusrender
      @Modulusrender  Před 6 dny

      It will probably look ok. I just scaled to have finer and smaller strands in the carpet. And of course Enscape should have better controls on this material.

    • @Modulusrender

      @@johnny5132 I think you have to upscale it either way, even to reach the original input again.

  • @FranCarreira
    @FranCarreira Před 2 měsíci

    I had tried it before this video, and came to the same conclusions, it works really well at some points but in others it adds too much texture. I had to design a gas station, and the renders were too clean, the ai added some dirt to the curves and the floor that gave the render a much better look, as if I had taken a picture of a gas station that has been already used, far from that unrealistic tidy es and cleanliness that usually give render materials, even those that try to simulate worn out materials, it’s very hard to make all materials in a render seem ecually aged, but with ai you get that effect in seconds. Then, as you did, you mask out those areas you want to look as rendered and the mix works really great. In my work all words and signaling was changed by the ía to some weird extraterrestrial symbols, I just masked them out and left the well defined letters and logos from my render.

    • @Modulusrender
      @Modulusrender  Před 2 měsíci

      The mix is the way to go in my opinion too.

    • @Modulusrender
      @Modulusrender  Před 2 měsíci +13

      I don't think so. You still need a good render to enhance. A bad render will not be saved by AI. And a master 3d artist will include AI in their workflow and they'll become super masters :)

      Sorry but if you believe KREA Ai is the difference between a good 3d artist and a bad 3d artist, you're most likely the latter. This is more like the difference between a good rendering engine and a bad one. As someone who can't afford to spend thousands on Vray and an RTX 4090 to be competitive, I'm all for this.
