Thanks for the video, going through some diagnostic checks to make sure it's working properly. Appreciated the demonstration for having the ram at a 45° angle to insert it, I would have been afraid of braking it otherwise. Was a very easy video to follow.

You can also try to use max fan settings in the Nitrosense app. And keep all exits uncovered.

I want to upgrade the speakers when I upgrade the RAM today! The screen needs to get brighter and the volume of the speakers are pretty damn weak, everythinng else about the Nitro is awesome

My Nitro 5, which is the same model, did come with the cable for adding an extra hard drive. It’s just a standard SATA connector on the end of the ribbon cable for that.
Nice and straight forward to install a 2.5" drive
Very useful even though its an older video, also I couldnt help but notice the crucial ram was a 3200 mhz version 😂😂

do u know what type of screwdriver or tip size required for the m2 screw? i got a 16 precision pack off of amazon and none of them fit

I have been doing research on replacing the keyboard of my AN515-54 to an rgb one. It looks like it will be necessary to remove most of the internals to get at the keyboard. As a novice, this would be quite an undertaking. Would you recommend this type of "upgrade" or would you advise against it, just looking for a professional opinion. TIA
Hi. Due to the design of modern keyboard installation, I would highly recommend against a keyword swap
As the metal cover between the keyboard and the mainboard, that needs to be removed has to have many plastic welded tabs removed
Re doing them is an absolute pain
And usual the keyword doesn't feel right after
Why does it not recognize an m.2 ssd?
I've reinstalled it twice, still doesn't work, looked it up in BIOS, doesn't recognize anything.
i bought the same exact ram you installed in this video is it okay if i install the crucial 8 gig ram with the default 8 gig stick that comes pre installed in the system

Any NVMe M.2 SSD should be fine, i personally go for the Kingston A2000 for value/preformance

There Is a differenze in performance if I buy a notebook gaming with 16GB RAM or if I buy It with 8GB RAM and I had the other 8GB? Or It's the same in performance, like FPS?

lower CL the better but 19 should work fine
Do all an515-54 models use 2666? and do you have to match the brand of RAM or only specs of the RAM
with it running an intel cpu, i would suspect so, but it may also have a 3200mhz
So the ram you link is a 3200 mhz but the acer is a 2666 mhz is this ok to do?? I thought you had to get a ram that maxes out at 2666
The new ram will match the speed of the older ram
What are the configurations of this laptop? I have bought one similar but want to make sure it's the same. Also, can you tell me what kind of storage drive this system has? My laptop says 1 TB SSD(Checked in Defragment and Optimize drives section) but the description in Amazon was 1 TB HDD.
go to device manager and get the model number of the hard drive.
you might be lucky and amazon advertised it wrong and you scored an SSD not a HDD

Yes but you probably won't get a performance gain
how about upgrading to 32 gb RAM? 16gb each slot. Below you said that could support 32x2 gb of RAM. Very helpful video!
You could go 16gb in each slot or 32gb

So I have the same computer with the 8gb ram with 2666. Could I swap that out with a 16gb 3200? Or do I HAVE to use the 2666?
the intel chip in the nitro wont utilize the extra performance of the 3200mhz ram

But I believe dual rank , gets you a fraction of a percentage performance increase

hey, i just upgraded another 8 gb 2666mhz to my laptop. now it has 16gb ram but in task menager it says that it is 2400mhz, both of the rams are 2666mhz, how do fix this?

Got this laptop brand new last week at a reduced price on sale.
stats said it had 8gb of ram, and after watching videos and researching I thought I would put another 8gb in the spare slot to get duel channel.
But to my supprise when I opened it up to put the 8gb in, both slots were filled with 2x 4gb?
All videos I have seen have only shown 1 slot been used by a single 8gb ram, is it possible that when this was built they accidentally put 2x 4gb in it?
Pain now is that I have to purchase another single 8gb ram to go with the other I purchased today.
