I never saw a english procession so badly filmed and realised : poorly chosen camera locations, cameramen unable to find the best angle or subject to follow, and a director not knowing how to correct these errors, etc.
Anyhow, God Save the King !
It's only the Evening Standard.
There were some major disappointments. We did not see the King and Queen processing through the Royal Gallery, did not see Black Rod summon the Commons, just half an hour of the Lords gossiping with one another.

Is it just me, or are these ceremonial functions fast approaching their end? It's so lack-lustre since Queen Elizabeth died, like everything's soulless, now?

I love tradition but too much is too much! King and Queen look like a farmers couple trying the ancient world?
She is 77 years old today (happy birthday to Her), he is 75; he has just been diagnosed with cancer (and the care is, it seems, already heavy); and this couple of old star-crossed lovers find themselves at the top of that "ancient world" that didn't want them... A little indulgence perhaps ?
