  • After finishing my time in Cluj-Napoca, my plan was to head to the city of Timisoara. It seemed like a long travel day so instead I decided to stop at the city of Oradea.
I knew nothing about Oradea but online reports said that it was one of Romania's most beautiful cities, despite it being overlooked by many travellers.
The city boasts some of the most incredible architecture in the whole of Romania. Walking around the city centre felt like being in an open air museum.
I am sure that if you are planning to travel in Romania and you watch this vlog, you will be adding Oradea to your itinerary!
For added fun, take a shot of ţuica every time I use the words 'beautiful', 'stunning' and 'incredible'. :)

Possibly not. As I'm usually out drinking, I preferred not to carry me devices around with me 😄

There used to be a restaurant that had a roof that looked like a mushroom
It has been decades since it has been rebuilt but the name has remained

You need to spend at least 10 days in Oradea to see it properly. Good luck

Maybe, but. You could say that about a lot of places.

10 days? Depends what kind of traveller you are. 10 days is a lot for any city and most people can't spend their life travelling.
Oradea is beautiful; 1 to 2 days suffice to get a good grasp. Maybe 3 if you like to visit everything in-depth.
If Oradea requires 10 days, Timișoara requires 20, Bucharest 50 and London your entire life. Let's not exagerarate 😀

@@dand2810 we got a lot to offer, mor than Timișoara, but not mor than Bucharest. Unfortunately Bucharest is a rubbish.

I give this warning to anyone coming across this video so they don't try to book a trip to: "Oh-ray-dee-uh" No one will know what you're talking about. It's oh-rah-dayah, or vah-rod (Varad/Nagy Varad is what Hungarians call it).
Jesus, 5 ads in 6 minutes? Chill out.

I never had any problems asking for a bus ticket to oradea. Bloody tourist. I wasn't aware the ads were that frequent. Only just got monetized. I'll look into that. Cheers.
