What if the Houston Texans Never Existed

- for there entire 22 yea history, the Houston Texans have never advanced past the divisional round in the playoffs. they haven't sniffed a super bowl trophy, don't have an MVP, and have no major accolades. so i mean, would this world really be all that different, if the houston texans were plucked out of history?

When the Texans hold up the Lombardi trophy this year I fully expect an apology video no shorter than 10 mins.
i fully understand these terms
They probably wouldn't change a lot of playoff outcomes with this method, but they absolutely impact the draft
The irony is both the Titans and Ravens reached the Superbowl shortly after relocating...
Texans never relocate
@@Ybv69420nor did the davens
@@zandger1649the ravens were the browns I believe
The Titans and Ravens were not expansion teams Titan were the oilers as you mentioned the Browns moved to Baltimore in 1995
And the Rams after relocating back to LA
Andre Johnson is now a hall of famer🤣
yup, i squeaked this video out while I still could lol
AFC South Division Champions:
2011: Titans (9-7, 3rd seed). Wildcard Opponent: Bengals.
2012: Colts (11-5, 3rd seed). Wildcard Opponent: Bengals.
2015: Colts (8-8, 4th seed). Wildcard Opponent: Chiefs.
2016: Titans (9-7, 4th seed). Wildcard Opponent: Raiders.
2018: Colts (10-6, 3rd seed). Wildcard Opponent: Steelers.
2019: Titans (9-7, 4th seed). Wildcard Opponent: Bills.
2023: Jaguars (9-8, 4th seed). Wildcard Opponent: Browns.
The Texans will make the conference championship with CJ Stroud. Hell, they may even make the Super Bowl at some point.
💀
@@JAGISDAGOATsays the guy who is a fan of a team who has done jackshit last 30 years
i feel one day we will get a texans vs cowboys superbowl and no one will care who wins because of the irony
I took this personal…well done sir
Hey, we also had Tony Boselli on IR that one year. We've had two HoFers
You captured the Dork Town vibes perfectly, great work.
Watch his video about the creator of basketball it’s has lots of dorktown vibes too
Bro bullied us for a straight 12 minutes before actually starting 💀
LMAO, im sorry im sorry, I'm a dolphins fan so I made sure to slip in a self-diss in there, because for my whole lifetime, we have been just as miserable (if not more)
@@hydn. it’s alright man we’ve all been there
This video is dope man I’m a Texans fan
Well probably Bob gets his hockey team instead for sure but the bring NFL to Houston movement is strong.
If the Texans never existed, I'd have become a Cowboys fan instead, and that is a fate worse than death.
Nice vid
It’s hard to be offended when the video is so well made
As a diehard Texans fan this made me sad
barely made an impact yet, it's like the team you seem to always forget
like dust on a table, it's there, but whatever
How does this good of a video have so few views? it was fire keep up the good work
so kind, thank you!!
whats crazy is you got jinxed bad..
dude believe me, I was SWEATING when they played the Ravens. If they made the AFC Championship, I couldn't have even done it.
@@hydn.Well I'm happy ravens lost to cheifs so there's that
Lamar Jackson needs more help huh ?
The Jon Bois aesthetic is peak
mucho love
if the texans never exist also the NRG stadium....maybe the outcome of the SB may change....may be 28 - 3 ...remain 28 - 3
Huge John Bois vibes from this, well done
Love the editing style
glad to hear! i think it will be sticking around.
Yeah same @thisfaquinchanel
As a Texans fan, I have to agree. If you did the same exact thing, but with the Mariners from the MLB and their first 21 seasons, I'm pretty sure the same thing happened to where almost nothing changes if you delete them from existence. Even though they had that record breaking season of 116 wins, It was beyond our timeframe we are using. I have to hand it to you. Great analysis.
Edit: Timeframe was too long.
thank you!! I am glad you enjoyed and saw the fun in what I'm doing. i promise it's all in good taste.
Video is very cozy
THIS IS WHAT I GO FOR!!!! THANK YOU. EXACTLY THAT ADJECTIVE. i love it. cozy videos are my favorite. glad you enjoyed.
@@hydn. keep up the great work
Here's a question for you... What would happen if you removed the Dallas Texans team from football history?
great question... probably not much.
the real question - would you also be eliminating the Indianapolis Colts? At the end of the Dallas Texans last season, their players and assets were given to the new startup team, the Baltimore Colts. The Colts claim to have been an expansion team and started fresh in 1953. They don't recognize Dallas Texan history as their own, but most of their whole team year 1 was just the Dallas Texans from the year before. The ripple effect is always going...
@@hydn.Technically the Chiefs were the Dallas Texans
@@hydn. In doing some research, removing the Dallas Texans from history, as if we Thanos snapped them into oblivion and they never existed, then there would no longer be a team for the Kansas City Chiefs to take over. That would alter multiple superbowl outcomes, remove several MVPs, and actually remove entire legendary players from the pool of players. For example Tony Gonzales, TE. If the Dallas Texans were never a thing, the Chiefs never become them. So legendary TE Tony Gonzales is also Thanos snapped out of football history. It continues and continues from there. Crazy to think about.
While this is a great video and you got yourself a new subscriber. I feel like all the data isn't accounted for. Like draft picks. Case in point, are we sure the Panthers cardinals, and Colts are just as bad at that point this year picking 1st 2nd, and 3rd? The Colts lost the division on the last play of the season. Do they still do that with CJ Stroud?
yea like i said, players are just snapped out of existence for however long they were on the texans. so drafts still happen the same, the texans picks all just don’t enter the league until they play for another team, lol.
it’s obviously clunky and not insanely realistic, but if i had to redo every pick of every draft… lol this would be a looooong video. i am glad you enjoyed though! thank you!!
this is crazy
Good vid but you spelled existed wrong in the title.
Perfectly timed with a fresh pot of coffee.
have a great day my friend!
Well guess what going forward Houston matters and will have a say in this league in the next decade😎
true, had to get the video out while I still could!! lol
The haters after the Texans win it all in '24
4:36 The Lions made the NFC Championship last year. Should have been replaced by the Cowboys.
The old divisions from 1999-2001 would have better to try to guess from. The division alignment would also change Super Bowl 53 due to the Saints and Rams meeting in the Divisional Round instead of NFC Championship. Also the Ravens weren’t an expansion team. The Buccaneers and Seahawks made the playoffs before the Texans.
Agreed
What 2023 would look like:
AFC: Jaguars win the AFC South. The Dolphins instead play the Jaguars in the Wild Card with the Dolphins winning. The Chiefs instead play the Browns in the Wild Card with the Chiefs still winning. The Ravens play the Dolphins in the Divisional Round but the Ravens still win. No change.
NFC: The Saints make the playoffs as a 7 seed, and the Packers miss the playoffs. The Saints play the Cowboys in the Wild Card, with the Cowboys winning. Both Divisional Round games are different, with the 49ers playing the Buccaneers and the Lions playing the Cowboys. The 49ers and Lions still end up winning. No change.
that’s awesome bro!! seems like you nailed it, this is exactly why i did for every year.
Didnt the Cowboys beat the lions tho on that stupid call?
@@defreeze01 Yes, that was in the regular season. I’m confident that in this scenario in the divisional round Detroit would get their revenge, and plus it’s the Cowboys in the divisional round.
We’d have no sketch
Before I get into this video, I just need Houston to exist so when Dallas is having a bad years, I can tell their fans they aren't even the best team in Texas.
If the texans never existed Jerry would rename the dallas cowboys to the Texas cowboys and be the richest man on earth
What do you mean "what if"?
dear god...
1920-2001. That’s your answer :)
You lost me after you say the players didn't exist
Tom Brady would have 6 less wins and 2 less losses. XD
i guess i really will do anything to make tom look worse
@@hydn. 🤣 Stay salty, its delicious
They’re winning the next 10 super bowls
I think the Texans have only made to the divisional round twice
5 times. (2011, 2012, 2016, 2019, and 2023)
@@DXNRxge oh
Some ppl don’t need a phone, this a waste of time.
Was it kinda sad seeing the team I love basically have zero impact on NFL History? Yes it was. Did I also have a great time watching this video and laughing at how absurd it all is? Yes, yes I did.
its all love, im a dolphins fan, been just as miserable my whole lifetime
The 2015 Bengals probably would've beat the Chiefs by 3 TDs even with their backup QB, let's be real here 😶 And to be fair, Houston not being in changes the draft completely. The Colts would have CJ Stroud if you just went back 1 calendar year now, for instance. Bet every Super Bowl is actually changed!
remove the packers or bears lol that going to take you a long time.
Jon bois would think this is great
Not true. In 2019, the chiefs had that big comeback in the playoffs against houston. If they didnt exist, what happens in that game?
Idk someone else plays them
Someone else a lot better plays them. And it wouldn’t have mattered… the Chiefs would win.
As much it hurts and looks demoralizing i still want to see what this team can do after 2 decades later
I still will support this team. As even I was born a d raised a texan fan, they are old as me. There will be a. Time they will push for afc championship maybe a superbowl.. but one game at a time
in a great spot right now
Nothing, nothing would change
David Carr might actually have had a different career.
Thanks for definitively proving the 500s are useless.
500s?
Jon Bois would be proud
