I don’t understand why everybody is so happy for Catherine. She was ignorant and naïve. She put her children through things they shouldn’t have gone through just for the sake of money and a luxury lifestyle. Leaving social media and losing major sources of income wasn’t good enough for her.
Yes to this. While it is for the better that they divorce, she did let a lot of stuff slide. She does admit to lying to herself and I'll give her credit for being honest. Pretending to have a happy family online is difficult. Yet, I can't help but wonder if the luxurious life also kept her attached to Austin. Obviously, I don't know Catherine personally. I just think she should have left way sooner, especially for her kids' privacy.

I think this case with Catherine shows you can be a victim and still be a bad person. Obviously Austin is just awful, and was not a good husband to her. But Catherine, of her own free will, did a lot of bad things completely independently of Austin. Remember how she took out her own IUD, against most doctors’ recommendations, and told her viewers to do the same, possibly putting them at serious risk of injury? Posting that video with that message has nothing to do with Austin and she even did it on her own accounts. Same with the Shyla stuff. Maybe she felt like she had to defend the Mcbroom family, but she didn’t need to make a video like THAT to do so.
Exactly she said Shyla has no idea what it’s like to be abused and Landon didn’t abuse her like no one knows what happens behind closed doors my ex was very abusive in every way with me but acted like a saint in public and even with our families he was very lovely and sweet I was very withdrawn just like Shyla was so she is def not a victim disgusting how much support this woman is getting when she participated just as much as Austin in every scam

I don't know why everyone's suddenly acting like "she was always the good one". She co-signed everything he did, willingly, and is pretty unhinged herself at times. The fact that they seem so "at peace" between each other if anything is a sign that she could have left years ago and didn't because she was comfortable and couldn't come up with anything better. Even amicable divorces aren't generally THIS amicable unless the two people weren't all that attached to each other to begin with. If you're at a point where you're both completely able to act without pain towards each other, you left a looooong ass time ago. She stuck around because she liked the status and lifestyle. well said. I do wonder if the financial issue is what held them together...now they both gotta figure out new financial stability. I wonder being they know the Ace Family has been their cash cow if they will just continue that one but they will portray that they have the best divorce and still happy as ever. I've seen amicable divorces between "good" people and they still feel too resentful towards each other to not pick ANY fights. The fact that Catherine and Austin didn't fight and still now don't seem to feel any ill will doesn't tell me they're mature, it tells me they never gave a fuck to begin with. Idk, I get that we all hate Austin and support women, but Catherine was an active participant in all of Austin's scams. Her dipping out now gives me the impression that she stayed for his money and left when he couldn't afford her lifestyle anymore. Especially if she's saying that they never fought and didn't have any issues, so it wasn't a case of her being stuck because of a toxic or abusive dynamic. I genuinely hate Austin as a person, but if she's leaving him because he can't afford a luxurious lifestyle anymore then I actually sort of feel bad for him. They're both terrible people.

I know people have sympathy for Catherine, but ya’ll gotta admit, this girl was just as sneaky and manipulative as him. She was racist towards black men, lied about Shyla, lied about surgeries, tried to take a companies info for greed and money, her or austin didn’t pay the mortgage or get anything organized with their mansion and made the kids suffer in that home, and probably way more stuff that was bts. I agree. I think it's fair that people don't want to put their dirty laundry online, but there is a conflict of interest when your money depends on being happy all the time. That alone is not real but there's no space to deal with it because you have another video to make. If one person brings up what is wrong, they are being negative and sabotaging a good thing.

I think she is still lying to herself. They never fought because she has been in service to him and nothing more for years. Absolutely! My parents separated and finally did it nearly when I turned 18. As a kid I heard the fights even when they tried hiding it, I KNEW as a kid they weren’t going to grow old together. I preferred them to separate and be healthy separately than to go home to, two people miserable or hostile.

I have never liked Austin but my opinion of Catherine changed when I saw proof they were intentionally scamming people. Catherine, how can you say you are truly happy now when you have sung the same tune to your fans for years? I think we all love a girls girl, but Shyla’s right for not just giving Catherine a pass for how shitty she was before. I find that there are two huge red flags for couples:
- Those who never fight
- Those who yell and scream at each other
Not fighting at all doesn’t resolve any of the conflict that’s building through your relationship - and trust me, there’s always some! Not fighting is the sign of no communication.
Conversely, I’ve had people tell me the only way to be “healthy” is to yell and scream at one another. How are you supposed to respectfully and lovingly solve a problem together if you’re screaming at your teammate? Neither of these work or are healthy for ANYONE, and I firmly believe that.
The only sad things coming from this divorce are what will become of the children, of course, and there’ll be one less event during the year like Ace Fest for our fave CZcamsrs like Atozy, Spill Sesh, and Swell Entertainment to attend 😭

For Catherine to compare a divorce to mourning a death shows she's never lost anyone close to her. It's not even remotely the same. -signed someone who lost their partner and best friend of 10yrs in 2020. Worst year of my fkn life.
i used to watch them around 2017-18, i loved to see what a family could look like for people in this day and age and i aspired to have a family with such a strong connection like they do... but i soon realized how inauthentic they were. once you see it, you can't unsee it. and later after i stopped watching them there was stories about all they ways they scam their followers. i honestly feel like austin was the "evil mastermind" behind all of it. hopefully catherine can find true peace. like shyla said, i also get the vibe that she's done a psychedelic of some sort and it changed her to become spiritual and to think that she's an enlightened being. which could be true, maybe she has become enlightened from her experience, nothing wrong with that. but to me it just comes off as her trying to present a certain way.

I was in the same situation but the thing is, then at the end, when you DO start expressing those things, there should be some animosity. What Catherine did to shyla is so nasty and unnecessary. I will say i think she was being emotionally abused and cheated on the entire duration of her and austins relationship, but that doesn't mean she deserves to be seen as JUST a victim. As someone who has been in a position where i was essentially a puppet, i never threw others under the bus or hurt people- the Mcbrooms robbed dozens of people, made several fake giveaways and were all around bad people. Shes a victim, sure, but shes more of a predator for choosing to validate austin this long.

Tbh, I take their statements lightly because I feel like lots of times when couples separate, they make a video or put out statements saying how it was mutual and they still have love for each other. But then later it comes out that they were actually in a really horrible relationship
